If its SP1a then it removes java so that might be the problem.

Real DSS-20 and DSS-25 cradles will have the model number on the sticker on the bottom of the device.

Pictures

These cradles are used with EMMA2 to flash customer phones at USB speeds. They are quite fast, and easy to setup with regular P900 drivers found at http://www.sonyericsson.com

Regards,

anyone had these problems? resoloved with new java?

BTW, have dss-25. phone wont charge when charger connected. faulty dss-25, or has anyone else had this problem?

As far as know win xp sp1 has java runtime and all that is needed for the update will come from the website and the dss-20 that i have says dss-20 written under it. Hey masseur i tried to update my fone again just to test if it will be allowed to do so and amazingly it did! Any thoughts bout this ?
@cakepanda,you should be able 2 charge using dss-25 otherwise it could be a faulty unit.

I must admit after i thought i had installed everthing i thought was needed for the dss-25 i could still not see anything that confirmed that the k700 and dss-2 were "talking" to each other.

Was getting a littled pea'd off so thought what the heck and tried the update.. as soon as i did the k700 started talking to the pc

still even after the update was successful i still cant get the two to talk to each other.

When i go to "my phones" on my desktop it still says the phone is unconnected!

Strange but never the less i still got the phone updated

Anyone knows if there is a Z1010 firmware upgrade available through the Update Service? And if so, what's the firmware version you get?

My Z1010 is on firmware upgrade at a service point right now.

@cakepanda
any path errors/issues related to java are normally going to be down to the java 'bin' directory (containing java.exe, javac.exe, etc) not being listed in the environment variables for your system. If it is there and is correct then i'm not sure what your problem is, but if it isn't then you can either add it manually or uninstall your current version of the java runtime environment (assuming an old version) and install the latest version. The reason for this is that older versions of java did not set this variable automatically, whereas the latest version does. Bear in mind i'm only guessing here - but its something to consider.

EDIT: only just saw your post further down, oops. I think kenski is right, seems like it might be the mobile phone monitor. mRouter rings a bell somewhere

@colmacg01
thanks for that link, its probably more friendly than the sun.com based link i gave earlier

So all I need is just install the P900 sync station driver and its ready to go?? Do I have to take out the sim card and turn the phone on while upgrade the firmware?? What happen if the phone rings during upgrade?

@caff

Yeah, just install the drivers and go to the update site. The instructions should take you from there. Taking out the SIM card is a good idea, too. If it doesn't work without it, put it back in. I think it works either way, but it's less risky with the SIM card removed.
