hey guys, don't you think the freezing problem with your unit is because of the simcard? I had 6210 last year and been using here in Saudi for several months and I never encountered any problems. I brought it home(pinas) and I was using Smart and Globe simcards and I noticed the problems like freezing, shutting down itself, weak signal etc.
Now, here in Saudi I bought a T68m Gold with SW R2A013 for a month now and I never encounter any problem. Maybe when I send it to home.

Guys, the way I see it, we basically have a T68 club with a few other models like me and my humble T39. I think what we have right now is something like an Ericsson GPRS club. How do we get others to join and what do we have to offer them. Our common factor right now I think is that we are all basically techies who have seen the ericsson light. If you guys are happy na tayo tayo lang then ok. Not everyone is going to be into the newest firmware upgrade or connecting the phone to their handheld devices. If you want others to join, we have to make it more interesting for others and we definitely need ericsson's support. A few points to ponder...
1. How do we get ericsson Phil to notice us, what can we offer them.
2. How do we get other non techie ericsson users interested
3. If we use estato as our site, baka bumaha naman dito ng pinoy. Dont know if sila laffen will appreciate that (ang hahaba na ng mga thread natin)
Sobra bang seryoso? Wala lang, if you guys really want to be oraganized we need to define a common goal. |

The real reason for the first EB was to discuss the potential of coming up with an sony/ericsson users' club in pinas. Syempre the T68 is a recent big hit, so most of the users got the T68. I got a T39, meron ding naka r520 dyan.
I voiced objections for a T68 club kasi the T39 and r320 are almost functionally the same, and most of what we discuss applies to those phones.
On your other questions:
1) Arnoldc is working on it. I think ericsson ph referred him to the local office already. hey arnoldc, any updates on this?
What can we offer them? A group of users who takes advantage of the more advance features of the phone - really a techie market. But most techies (i think) can afford to buy the gadgets.
2) I admit that it's still a nokia market out there. why? because most pinoys are really after being fashionable, rather than look at the features.
so does ericsson have a market out there? yeah, i think so. but i don't think it can be called a "mass" market yet (like nokia's)
3) Some of the improvements here in the site was brought about by the "reklamos" of the pinoy users (ie. laffen's solution to long threads on WAP. sabi niya nga -dito yata sa chit-chat, masyado daw tayong mag-post e.)
Personall, I think this might become a commercial site. One can't sustain a free site unless one is filthy rich. Even might be taking notice of it (i hope esato get's adopted ) |

Hi GOwin. Thanks again for replying earlier. Good to know that there are other Ericsson nuts out there.
As for your Ericsson Group, if you need help in speaking to someone from SE, let me know. I have a friend there who's been helping me out when I had problems with my past and present Ericsson phones. |

->GPRS, when did you have your software upgraded?
I think It is just a matter of interest lang at open mindedness. At saka kung di lang tech savy ang gagamit, mag Nokia na lang Pang text lang!! |
