Thanks Aussie
I really like the second one !! just need to get a bit more Autumn sunshine in the UK, not much chance of that apparently, big storm warning for Monday night and Tuesday.

The new notification centre widgets are going to be a great addition to iOS. The Forza Football app and widget has been fantastic so far this weekend, more than I can say about the Gooners perofrmance I have only added Forza and the Yahoo weather widget so far, there are a lot of battery meters and clock widgets at present and I don't see the point of utilising these when the info is already at the top of the screen. Looking forward to what widgets the developers come up with in the future.

Thanks for the tip about Forza Football- I will try it. Sorry about your Gunners you need defensive reinforcements immediately I am looking forward to more widgets being available too. I love the yahoo weather too because of the Flickr backgrounds but at time i don't find it reliable in terms of forecast - bbc is better I find |

We do Aussie, we have far too many midfielders and no defenders. In Arsene we trust ! Does the BBC weather app have a notification centre widget ? Strangely the Met office app doesn't have great reviews on iOS. I had a great app on my 1520 called Metweather indy app but forecasts came straight from the met office, great live tile too !

No Lemmy BBC weather doesn't have widget yet unfortunately. Thanks for the tip for met office - will try that on my Lumia. To be honest I am not checking yahoo regularity - (only when I feel like seeing nice photos from my preferred destination ) so maybe their weather forecasts have improved?
Anyway apparently iOS 8.1 will be released on Monday - can't wait as there are a few bugs that need to be ironed out

Thanks for the iOS 8.1 heads up, although my iPhone appears to be running pretty well as it is at present. Yahoo weather has been pretty accurate for me so far, at least for forecasting the weather in sth Derbyshire

Will Apple ever allow us to do an update via the cell network? I've got so much data on my iPad sim, yet can never do iOS updates OTA with LTE.

It's probably blocked by request from the mobile operators due to concerns about the impact from all owners of iPhones and iPads with SIMs updating their devices around the same time.

Great review !!
Iphone 6 plus and 6 are holding positions 1 & 2 on DxOMark. Apple seem to be getting great results from the Sony sensor.
More troubling is the position of the 808 and 1020 in their listings that can't be right
Either way its a top result for Apple

Very nice camera review indeed. Iphone 6 plus has a nice camera but the one one iphone 6 is close enough. I
In terms of iOS 8.1 I have activated the sms forwarding for fun to my ipad and it seems to work well. I suppose it could come in handy if a sms arrives I can answer directly from the ipad and don't have to move my lazy ass at all 😅
