There is a pic of the little sliding lock button. The back cover has "hinges" on the bottom side and snaps into place and then you lock it by sliding that button over.
It is really fine, i have experienced a small tiny little gap just as someone else said but a little piece of paper did the trick for me. The old trick i have used on so many phones before.... You canīt see any gap but you could experience a little "creek" sound when pressing on the phone on a specific place. My phone hasnīt got any worse either even after switching simcards many many times
This can even happen to the "rock solid" c902, on one of mine the "hinges" in metal was a little bit off so i had a wobbly backcover and had to use the trick on that one also Just mention it before anyone says that the c902 is totally free of anything like this

if c901 had been manufactured in metal or aluminium it had been sooooo much more desirable. Dont understand why SE keeps on using this plastic casings (same as C905) ????
Hope they start using Metal/Aluminium on their next Flagships......... for me the build quality is one of the most important feature on a cellphone..........if i want cheap, plastic design, i would abdicate to LG or Nokia long time ago

Sorry plank but if there's a problem with C905's casing it isn't about the material. Rubberized makes it tougher than most other plastic cases. |

@GTR83...........
you can read miles with text about wobbling slides, bad, creaky casings on different c905 around the world...........and of course it also depends of the material.....
just look at W995, (i played with it some days ago)....and, OH BOY !!!! thats a solid Slider.....and very good material.
ps.........i want (demands ) that SE go back to T650/c902/k800 CandyBar constructions...........its there they belongs

@plank
Oh and then I guess I'm guilty for not having any of those faults? Why does having a rubberized casing have anything to do with your original post, since you were talking about plastic design. I'm not gonna nitpick about W995 though as long as you buy it and replace your C902. Come on man, buy a new phone |

could someone do a photo comparison between N82 and C901. I have a N82 but the camera don't satisfy me too much and the photos that I've seen it here seems me better. The N82 has a bug in horizontal portrait with grass that comes to blur. sorry because my english it's a little bad jajaja |

I have no doubts that C901 is much better than N82 for taking photos. I had a couple of 5MP Nokia phones and all of them had blurry areas when taking pictures outside in daylight.
My first N82 had blur on the right side of the photos, then my N95 had blur down in the left corner, next my black N82 was the best of all, but still had some blur on the left side, and finally my last N82 (white) had horrible blur on the left side of the photos.
Now I have 5800XM and this one also has blurry area in the upper left corner of the photos. I just can't believe that Nokia keeps on repeating this camera fault time and time again.
Now, SE phones have their own camera problems, but I never had blurry areas on any of my SE's. I believe it's just a matter of time until I get fed up with my 5800 and buy C901 or C905 because I really can't stand those blurs on Nokia phones.

Yeah, I even saw some N86 pics on allaboutsymbian site with blur on the right side of the photos. Really unbelievable, but it is a gamble with Nokia wheter you will get a phone with a good camera or a blurry one...

The full size versions of these are in the photo section, I'm impressed with the detail at 100%.

I'm waiting for a new N82 firmware, if this firmware doesn't improve this failure I will start thinking change my N82, losing the wifi and the gps, for a C901 |

No sort of firmware will correct blur in N82 daylight photos, I know because I tried that myself. It is a hardware fault, either you have it or you don't, I guess that focusing mechanism doesn't work as it should.
You'd better go for C901, unfortunately it's not yet avilable in my country so I'll probably go for C905.

Yes the c901 are ahead of n82 regarding cam quality. n82 has a stronger flash and handles some situations in darker conditons better, thats it
This is because the hard noise reduction of Nokias photos. very seldom a pic gets greater than 1 mb. The c901 handles the focus better also and exposures better with more real colours. my n82:s sometimes gave me all wicked pics outdoors and in landscape situations but the c901 hasnīt let me down once.
