I read somewhere that SE considered using a powerful CCD sensor for C905, but the cost turned out to be too hefty so they ditched it. |

I'm glad they didnt use that sensor the post-processing was bad same with the whitbalance & compression, i much prefer this new 1 pics are so much more detailed even low-light pics turn out nice with reasonable details & not smeared to hell
If the c702 had the same sensor as my k800 i wouldn't of brought it.

I have trouble with the macro AF, it doesn't always work properly. By the way, did you receive my PM number1?
Here's a macro of my bed-sheet, under a mosquito bat

Haha, it's better than usual for a 3.2mp camera.

Pity. If they would have done that, they would have been miles ahead in image quality compared to Nokia, Samsung and LG. But I guess through some clever(?) logic they figured that it is more important to maintain safe profit margins than to beat the competition with superior products...

miles away
???? dont understand your point here
example C902 cmos sensor produce one of the best pictures ive seen. (and yes, even better then I-mobile902 in daylight.. more stable brightness & contrast for example)...... im very happy with this new Sony cmos sensor. (its good enough for a cell phone). everything is about money... can if they want put in a super cruel image-sensor (like DSC-G1) in their next flagship....but it cost to much.....
besides. when a cmos sensor (with C902 calibre) produce this colors, indoor with auto...i cant complain

CCD is better........end of story. (all good digital cameras (nearly) allways have CCD). CCD takes clearer pictures.
JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE I-MOBILE 902 PICTURES....CCD my friends, CCD !
But I guess it's easy to change your mind when you find a new true love...
