Hey Dogman, I don't know about bodum, but I'm saying it tongue in cheek.
SE never used to be a whore, it was only when they started to chase market share. And I can remember post after post after post from Nokia fans for the last 3 years bitchin' about SE's lack of choice in their line up. For years I argued that SE didn't need a huge line up because they packed a powerful punch into each handset they delivered.
Now the Nokia guys are having it their own way, ie: SE are whoring themselves to every tiny little market segment! So don't complain, you got what you wanted
Anyway I love the new slutty SE! You GO GIRL Give that ho Nokia a run for her money, I'm all for it.

I stated my point in relation, in case you missed the 'semblance' bit. I'm not saying SE doesn't do the same thing, but at least there's a clearer line defining their product lineups. whereas for Nokia I'm having trouble understanding what's for what, if you get my meaning. simply put, as Max might put it, SE's a slut, but Nokia's a big-time whore ... |

i can only say it's a correct choice for P series embedded the M series Keypad. Sincerely i think the M600i keypad rock all the way, this design make the flip redundant. |

From the mobiletoday website:
"The new P1 supports a wide range of push email services, including Blackberry connect, and allows users to wipe email and PIM data remotely in the event of the phone being stolen. "
Isn't this a new feature on SE phones?

Why should m600 style semi qwerty keypad?
I think if put p990 full qwerty keypad it will be great and people will par it directly with e61i or upcoming e90 not n95 like now.

The M600 style semi qwerty keyboard is BETTER than the P990's "full" keyboard, that's why! Seriously, it's easier and more comfortable to use, and of course it makes the phone narrower, which is better for both your pocket and your stretching thumbs on the keyboard.. |

My sentiments exactly Ares - the keypad isn't neccessarily better than the P990i or vice versa. I for one (personally) get on with both (as well as the M600i). That doesn't make one stronger - it is down to personal preference. |

@ares, this forum is all about peoples opinions, you dont need to say IMO everytime you say something lol.
i personally prefer a phone keypad, as T9 has always suited the small/medium amount of text i enter onto a phone.
Thats wahy SE brought out the M600 then P1, to be an alternative to the P990i
2 good smartphones, with 2 main styles

Well it's my guess more people "personally prefer" the M600's design, which is why they're using it for the P1 - and to my mind that makes a lot of sense, because on ergonomic grounds there are quantifiable reasons why the M600 keyboard is more comfortable (namely, less width = smaller repetetive movements = less handstrain).
And yes, this forum - like any forum - is all about opinions, like them or not

But, i get higer error rate (tend to typo) when using m600 qwerty (i own m600 about 5months). When i use p990 qwerty i feel like using my e61! Fast and accurate!
Thats why i like full qwerty style

nokiamaniax - I wonder if that's because you switch between the two? I guess it takes a while to adjust.

I know what a forum is, but there are certain ways of writing that imply the person is saying more than is own opinion - Boinng might not want to do it intentionally, but he did Thatīs why i reacted like that
I am not trying to impose my preference, i understand the M600 type of keyboard his a great new alternative to make smartphones smaller and fully functional, but still i think the flip+qwerty solution is the best one
