yeah,not much detail at all really.pretty much what I expected but if you use the maps on the "search" program it has a lot more detail.

@masseur,
my phone simply wont lock onto any satellites.

I've set it up correctly I'm sure.

Add the fact that there seems to be some messed up pixels when the screen is black and the strange noice from the earphone and thats replacement all the way

Those with GPS lock-on problem!!!!

Firstly in Map app - in options->Settings - set "Use Network" to "never"

Follow this step.
1. Open Map.
2. Click "view"->"satelite info"
3. Leave it on until you get a lock. (usually 20-30 secs after you see 4 satellites in the list). If you dont see 4 satelites, then you may have blockage. Move to better location.

I follow this and now I can get a lock from cold start in total < 1min. And it is consistent. If you have already have a lock to that location previously, it takes about 10-20 sec to lock on again.

(thanks to couperb who posted in m-r forum on this tip)

Hope this helps.

@mib1800

Thats how I have set up my maps app and now I seem to get a lock within 20 seconds to 2 minutes depending on where I am.

I was wondering though has anyone tried a bt gps receiver with this yet, and if so do you get a quicker satelite lock and does it use less battery than the in built gps ?

@upper

I didn't say that either i said £199.99 @£25pm but even so that still only works out @£499.99 and £30pm and £129.99 for the phone making total cost £489.99. besides being £10 cheaper over the course you also get better allowances. The only problem with 02 is their unrealistic data charges compared to T-Mobile but T-Mobiles contracts with a data are all 18 months and are working out much more expensive. If i finally cave in and get one i would most probably go for 02 and then just use my T-Mobile Sim in it an just use the minutes as it still works out cheaper than a Sim free unit plus interest free credit .

@Boba

because it has the same Processor and graphics 2D/3D chip as the N93 although i believe the clock speed of the N95 is 332mhz as to the N93 330mhz. But is is more the graphics chip that enables the game to play fast as it needs to shift a lot of pixels.
