Hi there. I bought a W950i in December from Carphone Warehouse supposedly unbranded on O2. I only bought it from there as they confirmed it was definately unbranded and could be updated via SEUS - yeah right!!
From reading these forums with great interest over the last few months, I understand my CDA:- ( 162017/29 ) is definately branded. I am thinking of using kulankend to debrand it. My main question is regarding the change of CDA. What CDA should it be changed to, to guarantee the most regular SEUS updates? Should I change it to Generic World 1 which I understand is 162014/1. If not, please tell me what CDA I should change it to?
Many thanks for your help guys.

Generic World 1 is best, yep - if that's what that CDA is for the W950i (I couldn't say personally) then that's what you ought to change it to.

Hi Guys...!!!!
THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR YOUR GREAT HELP. I managed to install the generic software for my P990 ...Finally got rid of the bloody VodaSH** hehe
If someone installs the wrong CDA and happens to do the cda change again it is possible on the p990..I changed it 3 times.
Thanks In Advance..!!!!! |

I think the great thing about this is that you dont have to flash your phone with third party software, your using SEUS, you just change the CDA to any region you want which means you can easily get whatever language you like! Also the price is very good!

Yep, I did, no problems at all. The "credit cards only" thing is an oft-repeated misunderstanding.

Ditto. Used my Visa Debit card with no problems.
Ordered at 4:40pm and the login details arrived 8:20am next morning!
Now flashed and updated! Goodbye Orange logo and hello nice, fresh, quicker phone.

Can i just add folks, that its probably best to use a credit card with these transactions. If for some reason or another your details were to have gone astray over the ether and again, unless its absolutely neccessary you would be playing with your banks' money and not your own directly.
Just my 2p worth, of course.
