Has anyone else come across the problem with this firmware where the picture gallery does not start and says 'program not found'
I have to reboot the phone and it's back again but after a while i get the same error - can't seem to find any valid explanation as to why but it's a bit of a worry |

Does the update affect the duo card in any way?
or do you guys remove the duo when updating?

I don't like dismantling the phone much... so I leave it "as is" (duo card, sim card etc ...are all left in the phone) and run the update ..... have been doing this since p900 days and I've never had any problems. |

that is not normal...in fact, picture gallery is working faster than ever...i sugest you format you internal drive and reflash the phone
also, just noticed camera app starts more quickly

waaaaaaaaa my cda number is "/8" so i cannot upgrade!!! a real let down! now when could the FW be available for us? been waiting for months for this but stll nothing! SONY please make it available for all of us!

For those interested, I can confirm the following applications/hardware work with the new firmware (Generic World 2):
--Exchange ActiveSync (by RoadSync)
**GAL Added feature: in Contacts-->Down arrow menu (at top of screen)-->ActiveSync-->Contact Search (GAL)
--Gmail setup in email accounts (uncheck SSL)
--Handy Safe password manager
--HBH-DS970 headphones tested: noticeably increased volume on music player

That's your answer:-) If the CDA is not .../1 (some have reported /2 as well) there is no update for you yet. The current update only works for World Generic 1, that is CDA../1.

i am going to update...but before that i want to sync the contents in my phone with my pc.in the sync manager,i see the option of syncronising only contacts.what about SMS and 3rd party softwares i installed.how do i sync them with my pc??
i remember i had updated my phone a day after i bought it.i had only synced the contacts thus losing the couple of sms i had stored.
