Well yeah I think we will finish top of out group. But if you look at how teams have been doing and their current forms, I actually think Ecuador will beat Germany today, meaning we (England) will have to play Germany in the Second Round. Even though both Germany and Ecuador have won both of their games so far, Ecuador seem to be on much better form. I mean they beat Costa Rica 3 - 0 whereas Germany won but with letting in 2 goals and only winning by 2 goals. Also if you have been following Ecuador's games, you will have noticed how stunning and amazing their defence and team work is. Whereas Germany, although great up front, slump and have a weakness in their defence.
But we'll have to wait and see

Why would you want Germany to thrash Ecuador, surely Germany is our common enemy?
Anyway BBC were talking to random Germany fans and well... they FEAR us! lol

ECUADOR 0 - 3 GERMANY
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/[....]all/world_cup_2006/4853270.stm
"With their third straight win, Germany – who could have added another goal with a smattering of chances near the end – strut confidently into the Round of 16, where they will take on the the runner-up from Group B (England, Sweden or Trinidad & Tobago). Ecuador, despite a difficult day in Berlin, can look forward to a match-up with Group B's winners winner (Sweden or England) in their first-ever knockout stage game at a FIFA World Cup finals."

COSTA RICA 1 - 2 POLAND
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/[....]all/world_cup_2006/4853276.stm
"Poland wanted so much more from this FIFA World Cup, but at least they ended with a win. For the Costa Ricans it brings a disappointing finale to a campaign that began with a creditable display in the Opening Match against Germany."

FINAL GROUP 'A'
Team - Points
1. Germany.........9
2. Ecuador..........6
3. Poland............3
4. Costa Rica.......0

Hell what a goal! See the curl, see-the-curl!
Well after studing and analysing predictions etc for the World Cup, if everything goes as you'd expect it to do with the obvious teams winning etc, providing we get to the final and beat these teams of course, but these are the teams that logic suggests that we will probably play in this World Cup and well its gonna be damn hard... Yes I've worked it out and looked at who is expected to play in each game and win etc, but of course football always throws surprises at us, and to be honest I damn well hope so.
Second Round - Ecuador (Came 2nd in their group)
Quarter Finals - Portugal (Beat Holland)
Semi Finals - Brazil (Beat USA/Ghana)
Final - Argentina (Beat Italy)
One word... damn. Should I have faith and know we can do it or cry?
