I'll check whether my R5D comes from a "faulty BT" phone...but you've tried with funks's R5C and my R5D, and both don't work for you, right? however, funk is using his R5C, and as he said, BT is ok....
I think maybe there is another problem....

Let me just say, the R5C001 didn't have a faulty BT

I actually used that phone with my IPAQ 3970 for browsing the net with GPRS.. And it syncs perfectly well with my MSI bluetooth dongle.

It's more likely that your T68 has an older version of the bluetooth chipset.

It's hard to believe in the guys at www.unlocking.co.uk. Two days ago, when several people complained about them, J finally decided to accept my calls using MSN Messenger and we chat a little. He said that my credits were finally setup, so, I can use those credits. Now I am trying to use the software to reflash back to R3C001 (and check if Bluetooth works) and it can't communicate with the server... I am also waiting for the firmware they said that will send to me, even after I sent one email reminding them. Also tried to call them at MSN Messenger and, even online, they didn't answer to my calls...

Do you have ICQ? I think maybe their MSN has some problem. J on ICQ always gives reply. But J himself also told me that his staff has some problem...maybe some of his staff are too lazy....

Just for info....I did successful flashing my phone using 10 MB file (R2E006) from language tab before.....But I think it is safer with the 2 files because it is faster to flash each file whereas with the 1 file it takes longer...and the longer it takes the riskier it gets....

hmmm, I believe that Paul of logos unlimited stated that doing the language flash way doesn't reset one's joystick counter and call timer..

Seven, have you gotten a hold of any new firmwares?

I'm on the lookout for a non customized T68i with R5D007 on it..

(It's really my Wife's - I'm not using my SE R520m ->

Cingular T68i -> hardare rev: R5A
(malaysia - Firmware overwritten with AT&T R5C001)
Bluetooth works perfectly

The AT&T T68i -> R6B
(malaysia - R3C001 updated to R5C001)
Bluetooth works perfectly.

I was wondering about those Bluetooth problems... Since the hardware version of many phones here are the same and some work, some not, should I think that it's a issue with mine computer COM ports? Could you tell me how your COM ports are configured?

Thank You,

Julio

Guys,
i'm going to flash my T68m to a T68i i've ogt all the gear (Flash cable, files etc), the flash files i got where the ones hosted on pocketbuddy (R5C001, page 6 of this thread).
The harware version on my phone is R1B, is it likely my bluetooth will stop working if i flash it?

Thanks

I just can't understand one thing:
if you flash by yourself you have to pay for a credit, you have waste your time (reading all this information, seeking the cable, then flashing itself etc.), you have to have to be on your own responsibility.
Is it really worth all that. This flashing could cost you a lot of money.
In my country if you bought fone from your SP, flashing doesn't cost at all. Even if waranty is over. In other case you have to pay ~5-10 Euro with no risk.

For instance if we would talk about Siemens then you don't have to pay money for a credit or something, you don't have to seek for cable (it's included), you can get original siemens flashing software in internet withuot paying money. I flashed my previous phone Siemens, but I can't understand what or who can make my flash my t68 by myself.

I also don't see reasons. I have r2e and I satisfied with it. It's fast enough, I don't have any problems with GPRS or bluetooth, a have all services I need.
Do r5d have JAVA? I believe not! So can find no sence of flashing, especially flashing by myself
