the 3G signal is probably for demos at the hub but even if you detect it, you can't do anything with it unless you have a 3G SIM.

about 2 months ago, globe had a mobile 3G basestation parked in front of intercon for a while. i think they were testing the 3G network equipment of huawei technologies from china.

huh! aku iba experience ko, everytime na napupunta ako sa walang signal, ung antenna icon ng cellphone ko nagiging 3G.....

guys i know this is off topic but i know no other place where i could seek help... my apologies. i've got a sharp 902sh and 903sh and i wanna know if it could support globe's mms and gprs. anyone know the settings? please....

remember the time I was scrambling for K600 settings?

here's the scenario:

- i have a [prepaid] globe sim, it won/t send/receive MMS
- "Communication error" message when I try to send/receive MMS. WAP works fine
- i got the settings off the site
- MMS works fine when I put in my mom's Globe SIM + my K600
- I put my SIM in my T610, got the settings from the site, same comm error message
- funny, it worked for 1-2 weeks, then this
- credits never go below P200

Question: is it possible that this number has been suspended or sumtin? I've called GT Cust Svc about it pero sabi ng rep theyve manually activated MMS svc, but that's 2 days ago, hanggang ngayon wala pa din :'c

anyone else experienced this?

This always happens to my family whenever we get a new line. Kahit na yung phone is fully configured na. One resolution suggested is for you to send an MMS to yourself. The first send usually won't work, but the second should.

If this doesn't work and the phone is properly set-up, I could only surmise that your problem is caused by Globe.

Just new to ESATO and A New SE user. I just bought from GHills a K600i last december. All are okay except after a week, i noticed that the loudspeaker at the back would intermittently go on/off. Kaya pitik-pitik ako. I brought it back sa shop kaya lang di na daw nila mapapalitan ang unit. dinala nila ang unit ko sa isang shop then pinalitan lang nila ang FW. The initial program as i can remember was R2J0005. Di ko lang matandaan ang FW na ginamit nila. Then I brought the unit to Semicon. Wala din nagawa. Ang sabi nila, nasa FW daw ang diperensya. I asked them bakit wala silang nagawa, they told me na my unit daw is a Euro version (?!) and they cannot use their FW dahil Pang APAC daw. Check ko FW ng unit ko its R2M001 prgCXC1250077_EU_5MI R2M001

619: the last rep i spoke to just did that- wala pa din talaga eh, 3 days na. ok lang sana kung SUN sila eh, hindi eh. bahala na im throwing this sim away- hinihintay ko na lang fitness first para dalawa na ID ko, tas mag-aapply na ko ng linya heheh

doc: sabagay pwede nga fw yun, pero mejo iffy ako kasi semicon nagsabi..standard ata sa troubleshooting nila yung reflashing eh, P500 down yun. pigs, heheh. (and then again they didnt really fix my K700-na lagpas na sa standard warranty nila- 1 month din sa kanila yung unit ko, sabi IC problem daw, tas 20 mins lang sa GH, naayos ng reflash, *sigh*)

mukhang hindi mainstream yung fw ng K600 mo chong, Hutch eh. may pinagpa-reflash-an ako ng K6 ko dun, PM me if you want the dude's number

any word on when Globe/Smart is officially rolling out 3G in production? if it's in the next 2 mos, mukhang mas OK maghintay bago mag sign up for a new line, baka may special promos for 3G, heheh

doc... try to master reset it...... di kaya loose connection lang yung sa speaker sa likod?
kab... try mo uli.. give the sim to them then ask them to put it into their service phone and test it. [addsig]

@kabu, Globe 3G has been rolled out in production last Jan 6 to some selected subs. The sim were replaced with 3GSIM and using the 3G service for free. Until when? We don't know....Globe will probably surprise them when they received their bill.
