I don't see why they wouldn't, if you cover the cost of the contractor's work on your property.
Here is XT's new product lineup including sharp prices on SE phones but W995 is 'Coming Soon' (no price).

Hey, not bad! Vodafone have some catch up work to do on their pricing! Now that we have another company retailing the exact same phones, it's going to be very very obvious who's ripping us off.
I wonder if Vodafone will price-match Telecom...
I heard from an unreliable source that Telecom had announced the X1 to be on their service too. Guess they were wrong.

Well while I was just at the mall buying my girlfriend a Nintendo DS, I went back to the Vodafone shop where I saw the X1 dummy and I found they had a real working model on display too! So nice... The touchscreen was responsive, the software was quick and it looked awesome. The whole unit felt really high quality even though I had no idea what I was doing with WinMo.
Worth $1550 though? Nah.

Makes the iPhone look cheap at $699 on the plan I've got!
BTW, W995 on XT is apparently $999 and plans on XT will do away with peak/off peak minutes in a move towards UK style plans.
It's about time! I've long thought that the peak/off peak model was a antiquated and cumbersome hangover from the 'bad old days'.

Yeah I heard that on the news tonight.
Anyone heard anything about Telecom branding, or lack of it (hopefully)?
EDIT: I just noticed on the image of the W995a on their website that there is some kind of Telecom branding that appears to be similar to Vodafone's, with a shortcut on the right softkey.

Just saw telecoms selection of handsets they are offering. Very small selection although they are offering two 8 megapixel phones SE w995 and samsung s8300 ultra touch which is not bad. Nokia N85 anyone? You only need to fork out $1500! Eh well good to see actual decent phones under telecom for once! |

Surprise surprise, only 9% of kiwis surf on their cellphone. I bet 90% of those have an iPhone and the rest are Esato members...

Yeah i dont ever unless im extremely lazy and dont want to go to the computer. They really need to offer affordable plans if they want people to use it. Its just ridiculous pricing. |

Umm... $1 per day or $10 per month - how is that ridiculous? The latter plan is on par with Voda UK and the former is cheaper than UK if you only browse occasionally.
You can't get landline pricing for mobile broadband because the landline copper wire network was built and paid for generations ago.

1 dollar for only 10 mb though. Im with yea g and still think its expensive considering landline broadband prices. The occasional usage is ok such as internet banking but i wont view youtube vids or webpages for my entertainment. I guess thats just my opinion and good on you for utilising mobile broadband it is really handy at times.
I find it funny that they are releasing that 8 megapixel phone first out of all the 8 megapixel phones out! What about the C905, Samsung Innov8 or LG Renoir? I guess they are quite old now and that samsung has just been released. Just seems like better camera focused hansets are not being sold over here? |
