Good news, thanks. Still I will have to make sure it is smudge free before snapping away but I was accustomed to this on my W900i anyway.

good news about the lens cover.i think the screen glass on my s700 and k800 are some type of glass and are both virtually unmarked after 2 years/1.5 years of use |

Just a quick question... having flicked through the pdf user manual for the K850i I noticed that when describing the areas for the softkeys it shows it to be an area of thescreen rather than the small white marking. Is it that the the areas of the screen are actually touchscreen or is it the white markings which are touch sensetive?
I have a dig bick You read that wrong |

How can you not know all this by now XD
The three softkeys are heat sensitive on the screen. You touch the screen to make them work. |

They're nothing to do with the screen, and they're not heat sensitive. They're touch/pressure sensitive (as opposed to static as with the Samsungs etc.). |

i dont understand why se keep making the glass over the screen so big yet the actual screen underneath is a lot smaller, they have done it with the t650i, k770i an now the k850i. if u look at all the pics the screen looks nice and big, but when u look closer at the sides the actual screen is at least a mm narrower then the glass over it, well annoyin. gives the impression of having a big screen wen it isn't. from the dummy model the screen didnt even look significantly bigger then k810i. |

Two Questions i have asked and tried to find out.
The K850i Is GPRS/GSM/UTMS/HSDPA
Where did EDGE go.
The K850c Is GPRS/GSM/EDGE
Original when it was lauched on the SE site it clearly said the K850i had Edge. However now it doesnt.
I have looked at the White papers and again it doesnt mention it, I have checked the SE Manual and same again it doesnt mention it.
Now i know that some website says it does. however some dont and Se doesnt.
Can any one who has the phone and has a Edge network, Does the phone support edge.
Does the little G change to a E when in edge if you know have edge.
Also Is there a Video light on the rear or is it the autofocus function?
Thanks

Srew EDGE. You're in the UK, right? You have 3G networks there. Why would you need EGDE? HSDPA is fairly enough.
And yes, there is both a video light (3 LED's) and a xenon flash. I don't know whether there's that red atoufocus light. (there is, probably) |

I sure am in UK and Yes have both 3g and HSDPA. Thats not the problem.
I travel alot and no all countries have 3g. However Edge they do.
As I use a lot of Data, It would be so nicer to have edge instead of using GPRS.
So the question still stands

he he...EDGE is shit (maybe if you live in USA its good, they dont have 3G/Turbo-3G i think)
anyway, 3G is better. (about 2 weeks we get Turbo-3G in my town...only Stockholm, Linköping, Malmö & Göteborg who have Turbo-3G so far.....Turbo-3G is 3.6 MB/sek, with that speed you can download movies, music much FASTER then GSM or even 3G....(3G is "only" 0.7 MB/sek)
k850i have 1 light sensor......1 AutoFocus lamp (red)....1 Flash (Xenon)....1 3-point LED lamp (for video recording).

@plankgatan
Im not saying Edge is gr8. Just nice to have when you go out of 3g or if you dont have 3g.
Im lucky like you In the UK and have good strong 3g networks with 3.6mb Oh my god fast speed is here at last.
And I just wish we have summer in May to Sept and not October like we are at min.
Yep USA is a place that i travel too but they do have not a 3g network now.
Havnt tried it yet, but in a couple of weeks i tell you what its like
I hope they have improved. Last time i was there. If you pointed the phone north i got At&t and if i turned to the south i got T-Mobile.
This was on the same spot.
The best is you get a sms saying welcome to at&t and then t-mobile. Oh what fun.
Dont you just luv it all
Another good questions gareb, does it have the sleep mode clock.
its not listed in the manual?
