@rss- How many apple rumors have ever come true. Both of us know that it wont happen. If you dont, however, its a completely different story then. Good luck to you. As a matter of fact, I doubt the iphone can record in HD. The platform supports it, but the sensor doesnt IMO. Havent seen too many 3.2mp sensors recording in HD.
Well, it seems like tHD recording is important to you.You should vouch for the Bravo then. |

I think I can go without the new browser UI and live wallpapers because the better cam more than makes up for it.

@se_dude In fact thats true... only 1 S60 and WM phone, but look at the UIQ too. The only big updates they add was to the next new phone for you to buy.
I know SE always make big costumization to their phones (In some cases more than they should), meaning a lot of troubles to implement them again in a new platform, and this may be the reason i they never changed the OS version of a phone.
Nevertheless there was a lot of small things they could be done in the past. Hope they do it now with satio and continuing to do with X10. |

Orange Could Get A X10 UK Exclusive.
They'll probably get the white version if they do.

Days back then, the whole concept of providing free updates dint exist. It was only after the competition increased that companies started doing so. |

@ Goldenface, why do you say that they will more likely get the White version? My Orange branded C905 is black, so is the Satio they provide. Only asking cos I'd love it to come to Orange, but prefer the Black variant by a huge margin..
Keep up the good work.

Simply because IMO the white version looks far more exclusive but then again that's just my personal preference.
(did orange have an exclusive on the Satio originally?)

Well, a fair few to be fair. Not all, but a fair few.
Both of us know that it wont happen.
Do we? If you look at the short history of the iPhone, there have actually been many significant upgrades handed out to existing phones, including some that might have previously been dismissed as needing new hardware - like the Bluetooth upgrade to bring A2DP in OS3.0 for example. That same upgrade also brought MMS, voice recording, copy and paste, and a long list of other things which Apple were under no compulsion to add to their existing phones, but did.

I don't like the iPhone for a number of reasons and have been very critical of it in the past, but currently it is the benchmark that all others aspire to, its available and selling like hot cakes.
Given the fact the X10 is still in the lab with issues! I struggle to understand what statement comparing Apple rumors to Sony Ericson rumors makes?
I have owned the ... T68i T610, P800, P900, P910, P990, W950, P1, W960 But SE have now totally lost the plot. |

The only benchmark it gives is sales number.
If not that, nobody would bother.

I dont think it gave a bluetooth update.it just added the a2dp profile function in the phone which the hardware was already capable of. MMS, copy paste were already possible using 3rd party apps so it was nothing new. You guys dont get the difference between a camera update and solutions which are already do-able. |

Goldenface, thanks for clearing that up. I just wondered if you'd heard something specific. I don't think Orange have had an exclusive on any phone worth having for a while. Unless you include that Toshiba lump that they had to reduce heavily. For me the most exciting thing about them getting the phone March-April, means it must be on schedule(ish), they are almost always a couple of months behind as they Beta test themselves, or always used to. The delay in their getting the C905 was the reason I had an N82 for a little while, won't be making that mistake again in a while.
Like many here I have been quite anti Iphone for a lot of reasons, even tho I run a Mac. Mainly cos I thought it was mostly about looks. However having used a friends one over New year, it is a very user friendly UI, especially for Web-Browsing. But IMO SE are the most user-friendly of the Phone producers and X10 looks to be adding to this. I did love my P800 + P900 for the touch interface. Hopefully the Multi-Touch and 2xtap to zoom which help the Iphone's usability so much will come to X10 in time.
To all of those in here who are saying that SE has lost it's way, hasn't made a good phone for ages etc, what planet are you on? I have been SE since the K750i and apart from 6 months of torture with a buggy, laggy, power hungry N82 which Orange replaced three times because they were all known problems, I have never looked back.
I can't wait for the X10, let's at least agree it has great potential, and live with it a bit before writing it off because of vapourware?

@Trickois
I agree somewhat.
People are quick to judge, (and some say with good reason) but the X10 is shaping up to be a fine device and does have good specs. An OS update will make a lot of people very happy but for me it isn't essential. However, looking at the following list it does add to the user experience.
Ten Reasons why Android 2.1 Kicks Ass.
The voice control look like the most impressive.
