Today, bluejacking is ONE YEAR OLD!!!!!

I would like to thank all those poor people who have had their bluetooth enabled/discoverable on their phones/devices for making our lives so fun and exciting. My condolences to all users who can't switch of their bluetooth.

HAPPY! HAPPY! HAPPY! HAPPY! HAPPY!

I still have enormous amounts of fun sending "Warning! Virus detected!" or "SIM card failed" to all those who don't know how to turn off BT...

and it's also good for fighting off the boredom in lectures...

is there anyway that i can setup my z600 so that when a bluetooth device is nearby my phone can alert me. i ask this because today i was searching for someone to bluejack (my first time!). the search came up empty. when i got home i opened the flip on the phone and it told me that it had found a 7650. it must have found the phone somewhere on my way home. pity the perfect opportunity wasted.

that would be a cool feature, like an "always on/always on the lookout" thing...bluetooth usb dongles have that...

rather than sending business cards with messages, i'd rather send photos (not of myself of course)

I agree with you there it should go down in history and maybe even an entry in the dictionary after all there are swearword's in the dictionary now so why not!

Ive had a succession of bluejacks in Farringdon station in london and on the trains! It's great.

I think I frightened someone the other day as they had a 6310i.....so I sent "The matrix has you" as a contact....I heard it beep and then did another "radar scan" and lo and behold they switched it off

Anyone else having problems with Bluejacking from a P900?

Last night I was in a big shopping centre, waiting for the wife to come out of yet another fashion store, and I thought "Ooooh, I know what I'll do to fill the time!"

But about half the Bluejack's I attempted failed. I can't remember the message but it was something along the lines of "Failed to transfer item to Nokia3650". People were in a hurry, so I can't be sure that they didn't just walk out of range too quickly, but one in particular was still visible when I scanned for devices again.

Any ideas? It kinda killed my fun last night, and the wife took a..g..e..s

Well I bought a t610 about 3 weeks ago from T-Mobile (the only good carrier for the t610 in the U.S). I happened to chance upon this thread. Ajack, thanks for all the fun i'm having with my phone.
What sucks in the U.S. is that all the new phones seem to come out 3 months later than other countries, and the new nokias seem to be bluejack-resistant. Is it just me or are the bricks really that hard to bluejack?

I finally had my first Bluejack the other day... It happened on Arlanda Airport in Sweden while I was waiting for my flight to Frankfurt. I was sitting at the gate waiting, so I take out my new Motorola A835 (Sorry, it's not an SE but the 3G operator in Sweden is just too cheap, i had to get it) and do a scan for any phones. To my delight, 1 device is found and it is a Nokia 6310i. I sent the phone a contact, can't clearly remember what it was, but it said that it was successful. To my surprise, the phone gives a little double beep and the girl sitting right opposite to me takes out the phone. At this point I'm thinking I'm screwed, but I had forgotten I was dealing with Nokia owners who have no clue what goes on. Anyways, to end this up, she has the most confused face and then she says something to a guy next to her who also has a completely confused face. It was just funny to see these two people have no clue what happened. I will enjoy bluejacking in the future, thank you ajack!
