grow up people
the time of spies has gone !
big companies are depending on analayzing now , and many of them are partners , they all know what the other competitor thinks in and how he think
it is all about QULAITY , for example , SonyEricsson and its fans made a big propaganda about the P990i , and after months of waiting , they were shocked of poor functions and many bugs
We are all here eager waiting for the P5/P3 , with full loyality , hopes and dreams about the dram device
How would you all feel when a crap device would the P5 would be ?
But would would happen if the P5 would be over the expectations ?
the NOKIA , SAMSUNG , APPLE , MOTOROLA and others thorns would shake !
We need QULAITY and INNOVATION like the T610
If Innovation is hard to make , quality is a must in this century |

@Tigershark42, I probably caused the confusion when I wasn't very clear on the distinction between multimedia and business in my first post.
P990i: A mistake, a curse and a disgrace So I lowered my expectations and settled for a P1i. I couldn't keep my expectations so low for a long time so now I have an HTC Touch HD |

Here's to hoping it will never look like this. I'm never into slider phones and because of this, even with all the features, stability and the sexiness of a black phone, I'm still using my P990 over my N95 8GB. Sad to say and a lot of people here may not like to hear this but I don't think SE is capable enough to match the N95. The only thing SE is going for is the touchscreen. I don't even see the big deal about that as I hardly use that feature on the P990. I like solidly built phones. The less moving parts the better. And this side slider is just plain ugly.
I like this proto better http://mobiltelefon.ru/post_1197653433.html
Come on SE, don't just fold up, raise your hands and surrender. Come up with something that would at least keep you within Nokia's shadow. I didn't say heel cause that's too close. I urge you guys to read up on the N95 to see how far back SE is from Nokia. If you can't match the software/operating side at least make up for it aesthetically.

@R1
That's not a proto, but a concept.
And I urge you to read up on the N95 once SE's next P-series flagship has been announced to see how far back Nokia is from

I read about the Qualcomm snapdragon details and found that it will utilize and embeed an ATI Graphics processor chip. so if this would be the CPU of the next P-series phone then this is quite impressive, just hope that the cpu clock speed would reach more than we expect and be a big surprise among the pessimistic SE haters

Wow, a better CPU and a separate graphics core?! Now that's somethin'! (ahem, what was N-Gage again? )

ATi has much better graphics Core architecture than PowerVR which is used on most TI-OMAP chips as well as the Nexperia CPU in SE UIQ phones and renders more smooth and fluid videos than the latter, so far i have a strong feeling that the separate ATi chip to assist the qualcomm snapdragon CPU was the ATi imageon 2300 - since judging by the spec sheet provided by the AMD imageon site the chip was binary compatible with Symbian OS so expect better video recording as well as gaming and viewing TV quality videos

What's that tell you? Nokia is far way ahead of SE. Like what you pointed out, they're still working on a CONCEPT and don't even have a PROTO yet. I'm pretty sure once Nokia comes out with a replacement for the N95, SE would have something, concept and maybe even a proto, to replace the P990. What do you think? But I would advice you to not hold your breath. Don't get me wrong, as I have mentioned, I still prefer my P990 over the N95 but I'm just frustrated that SE cannot come up with something close to it. I would definitely buy the next P-series that SE would put out. The question is when or if ever.

@Mizzle
If the P5 isn't at least equal to the N95 which the original will be over a year old and the N95 8gb will be at least 8 months old by release of it they may as well give up now and still use the Nexperia chip again. It really is pointless saying an as yet unreleased devcie will be better than nearly a year old spec that were actually processor wise first seen in august /September 2006. If you think Nokia aren't going to improve there specs and move to the OMAP 3 chip or similiar you are dreaming. They have have already back ported to Symbian 9.2 things that weren't expected to be seen until Symbian 9.3 or 9.5. do you seriously think there next gen devcies will still have the same spec's again?
This is why i was worried when some said the P5 would use the OMAP 2420 chip as that is already old and was pleased they pulled it to up the spec i just really hope they deliver on there promise this time with no more dodgy software needing an endless cycle of firmware to fix it.
