@Kryptik: Dunno about the N-series but they've got a strong focus on multimedia capabilities.

E-Series= Enterprise...these are mostly aimed at those who require email on the go and the ability to remotely access office documents.

Taken from GSMArena:

'Well, it's official - Q3 2008 saw Apple's only current smartphone, the iPhone 3G, outsell the numerous devices based on the Windows Mobile platform not only in USA but on worldwide scale. That's some surprising news, we bet Mr. Jobs is already throwing in a dinner party.

Despite the global financial crisis the smartphone market share is still growing (though at a slower pace than last year) and territories are being remapped. The third quarter of 2008 saw some really interesting changes in position.

Nokia is still king of the hill with 42.4% market share in Q3, but for the first time they have a decline in sales as compared to last year.

Windows Mobile has shamefully slipped behind Apple proving that sometimes it's not all about pumped up specs, but user experience and service integration count big time as well.

RIM's Blackberry devices are also growing in popularity having 81.7% more sales than last year's quarter. And they should do even better in Q4. Seems like the Bold and the Storm just might liven up the conservative facade of the brand.

Different OSes are changing market shares too. For the first time Symbian has fallen bellow 50% market share possibly because of the rise in popularity of touch-screen devices, which effectively lacked in the Nokia portfolio in Q3. Sony Ericsson's UIQ wasn't there to fill the gap either.

The now elderly WinMo will probably continue to suffer hard hits from the competition due to its inferior user-friendliness. The OS definitely needs a serious refresh and we really hope to see one soon.

But user-friendliness is only part of the game. The successful future of the smartphone platforms will also depend on building up better application portfolios, wider online services with easier and more intuitive access. AppStore or no AppStore, Apple's application business model is one fine example of delivering the right content straight to the device hassle-free.'

Taken from The Register today:

'Nokia has cut expectations of the mobile-phone market for the third time in as many months, while Palm is planning to cut costs by 20 per cent following a halving of sales.

Less than a month ago Nokia predicted 330 million phones would ship in the last quarter of 2008, a prediction the company now thinks was optimistic - though this time the Finnish giant is only saying that the final number will be lower. Palm admitted that its sales have halved over the last quarter, blaming "economic uncertainty", though increased competition must also be playing its part.

Nokia's approach to bad news is to explain that the whole industry is slowing down, and we should therfore focus on the Finnish giant's market share rather than the number of phones it's actually shipping. The company reckons it can build up market share in 2009 from the current 38 per cent. So we shouldn't be alarmed, but it's hard not to be concerned when they keep issuing warnings like this.

Nokia also reckons retail outlets will be de-stocking for a while - selling what's on the shelves rather than ordering more stock, which will put more pressure on manufacturers including themselves.

Reducing costs seems to be the order of the day: Nokia is promising to "reduce operational expenditure, and scale back capital expenditure", presumably not including the Hollywood office, while Palm is going to trim the workforce and cut back on European operations to the tune of 20 per cent.'

Agree with Hobbs, and competition is a good thing, NOKIA can learn a thing or two from Apple.
Shame 1st Jaguar and now Honda are leaving? Maybe they were making a huge loss on it. I read some where that FIA or whatever they call it were warned that if F1 keep going the way they're going on fuel, etc. . .the may end up stopping F1 in the next 2years.

Dam that doesnt sound good Kyle, i know with V10 and V11 FW mine would crash often when running OperaMini but after V20 it doesnt anymore. Ye format may help.
The new FW is pretty stable, better than V20 BUT now some apps HAVE to be installed in Internal Mem which is driving me nuts, i cant wait until its hackable. Dont update bro, atleast not yet.
Yay from next month my Data Bundle is 1GB instead of 500mb lol.
