From a popularity point, maybe, but from a buying point of view it'll have to drop a helluva lot in price to make it that accessible to so many potential buyers.
Touchscreen phones have really wooed punters over the past year or so; look at the iPhone, G-Phone, Tocco/F480, Omnia, Viewty, Cookie, the success of HTC etc etc. ( 's current touchscreen offerings haven't had the same impact, which I think is fair to say..?) Even budget phone manufacturer 'Fly', who make some phones for some networks, have recently released an el cheapo touchscreen slider as well.
The 5800's current hype, at this initial launch stage anyway, will keep those higher end prices up for now mehtinks. I hope it does become that popular though; it can only encourage better deals and trigger more demand and developments for further applications too.

I WAS USING A 5800XM JUST AN HOUR AGO! my friend with the N95-8gb brought it to church today (yes i go to church . . . .once in a while). Will post pic of it later when im at home, dont expect high quality, was taken in a rush with my N81 lol. All i can say is its an awesome phone, like i had said earlier he is related to a Nokia employee so once in a while i get to play with the phone before it gets here like i did with N82 and N95-8gb.

Lol Wanqa, yep!
Phew.. what a day, me and two of my close friends had to get up at 6am after a very late night, got to my friends house at like 2am from rubyblue. So only got 4hours of sleep, had to go help with the services at church which we regert volunteering for lol anyway it was all worth it my other freind got there with the red 5800XM in his hand, got to use it for about 30mins, it is such a nice phone to hold, a lot more palm friendlier lol than my N81 and the N82. The menus are qiuck and it responds well to finger touch but not as well as it does when using that "guitar pick" thing it comes with which was awesome to use!! Its a true "teen phone" its all shiny and flashy, the screen is so big and so smooth due to its 360x640 res , and the build quality is top notch, it felt like i could drop it and not worry about, i want it soooo bad now!! lucky prick he may get a E71 though and give back the 5800.
Here are some picks of it, like i said, bad quality my lense was still dirty from last night..ewww.
LOl and Huston we have lift off :

LOL, Gucci. That friend of yours sure seems to be enjoying his b'day pressie Mini Cooper S.
That place looks kinda like the Eagle Canyon Golf Estate in Randburg.
Dang, I'm really looking forward to fiddling with a 5800 again.

Wanqa he certainly is, and so are we amazing how much power that little 1.6l Supercharged engine has, and it takes corners at highspeed with no prob, it will make anyone driving it feel like Micheal Schummacer
You're right it does look like Eagle Canyon Estate i only realised when you pointed it out! Its actualy the suburb of Douglasdale in Bryanston and its tiny streets lol, you dont wana know what the speed limit is there because we were clearly flying through the place
Yah that 5800 is amazing, i cant stop thinking about it, Nokia have done a good job with it, if this is just a mid-end can you imagine how the flagship will be?

Yeah Gucci, keen to see what The Dark Side delivers next year, if that leaked ' Nokia road map' info is anything to go by.
@ Brixster:
Not sure how much of the Premier League you're able to follow there, but The Gunners have just come back from being 1-0 down to win 2-1 at Stamford Bridge, thanks to a Van Persie double.
That'll put a smile on the Scousers too...

He doesnt like TS phones, and if you met him it would make sense that 5800 just doesnt suit him, he's already given it back and is using his N95-2. By the way which hack are you using on your E90? Is it that Caps On/Off hack or HelloCarbide? I need the former because the latter apparently kills the N81s when updating to latest FW.

Gucci Im using Hello Carbide from the Drakkarious Hack Pack.Do you know if the hack works on the E90 after updating to the latest firmware.I wanna update but I hear if you do you lose the ability to hack the phone.
Wanga Just checked our local Look & Listen website and Guns n Roses Chinese Democracy is in stock. Finally they've released it.A decade in the making.Incredible.lol

@ Hobbster:
After school on Friday, whilst doing marking, the head walked into my class. I had Last FM streaming through the broadband connection, with Sisters of Mercy's version of 'Jolene' blasting out the wall-mounted speakers. LOL, her face was hilarious. She didn't mind though, as I was courteous enough to turn it down when she spoke to me, and then cranked up the volume again once she left. Sigh, music does help to get through things, LOL.
EDIT: WRT the Chinese Democracy album, they had a P.R. stunt here in London with bicycle couriers all dressed the same and gathering to advertise the event. Will see if I can find a link later.

I know the latest N81 FW which was released last week is unhackable, im updating tomorrow so i wanna make sure its hacked and still working after the update.
Lol,thanx Gola but you atleast can still get it if you wait a lil longer, i know for sure theres no new phone for me in the near future

The following pics were taken indoors with lower light conditions, and they also came out cool...
Hope they arent too boring...
