@arch6 if all else fails the best way to buy a genuine battery is to ring Mobile Fone Rescue on 0800 021 222. They are an Se service centre but will be happy to sort you out with a battery as well. Nice folk there. |

And not just that Mr. Kitter, the C510 has hit the store at $549. Though it too is out of stock!
Also, I saw a T700 today at the mall. I have to say it looks nice, but it's certainly not impressive to look at like the original T610i was.

hmm... looks like vodafone is speeding up releases, perhaps to compete with telecom?

Or trying to give the impression of speeding up releases.
I think the Out of Stock label is misleading, it should read Coming Soon if anything. |

This thread is really quiet atm, which is suprising considering telecom is almost going live, and nzcomms is due to announce a whole lot of stufff. Oh well. Anyway, i just realised why my phone doesn't detect telecoms new network, because its only 2100 UMTS/HSDPA. Damn it! I was looking forward to putting them to the test

You need a C905a
...or an iPhone
...or perhaps a shiny new W995 from Telecom. It'll still have 2100MHz in it for connecting to Vodafone. |

sh*t! Just checked the retail box of my LG Renoir and it says UTMS 900/2100 only. I obviously got the asia/pacific version. So i wont be going on telecom either!

I thought my C902 would be sweet on both networks but now I'm not sure. I just checked and it doesn't look like it.
And man, the Sony Ericsson website is terrible. Errors all over the place and one of the slowest websites I've ever used in recent memory!

Latest info on NZ Comms here. August network launch date, Branding launched May 11.
Funny that they see petrol stations as retail channels - I though you weren't allowed to use a mobile phone at a petrol station for fear of an explosion.
Not that there has ever been any recorded incident of this type of problem.

Yeah apparently the say no mobile phones on the forecourt because of the risk of explosion if your cell phone was to spark! When have you ever seen a mobile phone cause a spark (when it's not in the microwave)?!
