Everyone, I need you to help test something out.
I am upgrading my site GoSmartMobile such that it can be accessed not only on PCs and smartphones but also on WAP 2.0/xHTML phone browsers (it will automatically reformat itself to your device's screen).
Browse to http://gosmartmobile.com and see if it loads well on your phone. Note: only the homepage has been configured to do that for now.
The P800's built-in browser is one of the most choosy, and it loads fine. Also loads on Nokia 2650 and Siemens S55.
Feedback please. Thanks.

@ Cool, u have to earn your free credit for sms, send out your link and ask friends to click and register, also click on 'Free Credits' and learn other ways you can get free credits for sms, the good thing though is that the sms dont expire, and you can change your from title to bear ur phone number or name or anonymous.
Happy Txting.

Hi Aya,
would have loved to try ur site but stopped using GPRS last month after discovering how much i was spending per month on glo.
i'm just waiting for Vmobile or Mtel GPRS which would probably be cheaper. |

@mamba: Thanks, and let's keep our fingers crossed on mtel and vmobile GPRS Where are all the other WAP surfers on this thread?
So far, http://GoSmartMobile.com has worked excellently on all testing phones except the SE T230 which has a document size limit

I am currently phoneless but i just looked it up at www.gelon.net. It loaded okay. But I still advise U do a WAP version. @Angel I am yet to conclude my activation. Who asked for FREE SMS? I think your best bet is http://www.gtbplc.com. Then look for the "WebSMS" link. |

@coola: Thanks for the tip. What I did with that site is the future of website development: the ability for one site to be accessible by a multiplicity of browser platforms.
Question: Any specific reason for suggesting a separate WAP version?

Because some phones only support WAP 1.0 |

Those phones are 10 year olds and have mostly been phased out of production. No point looking back.
Nobody builds PCs to support Windows 95 again. Same principle here.
