i'd be interested to find out the SAR value of the phone (when someone finally gets hold of the REAL phone) too...something which ppl seem to have over-looked in their excitement of it's camera functions. |

Yes I think even I might balk at 2.0W/Kg! Still, reception should be good pretty much anywhere

Isn't the T650's problem to do with the metal and hence higher SAR rating? K850 isn't too slim or metal. But then that may be the same reason its taking the Z750 to come out.

Let me sum up some facts regarding the phone's SAR indicator:
1. The phone is practically out.
2. It's a 6-band phone so it must have gone through FCC certification by now.
3. It definitely has gone through European certification.
4. Official SE lips are tightly sealed regarding SAR levels for this particular phone...as if they are extremely hesitant to announce it.
5. Dr. Google seems to be incapable of providing any clues.
6. There was a scant rumor that the SAR is 2.0W/Kg...the upper permissible level.
From the above I conclude that the SAR level of the K850i is something that SE is NOT proud of, that they fear that an early announcement will cut down on sales, and that the SAR level is indeed around 2.0W/Kg!
Do you people agree or am I exaggerating things?

the 2.0w/kg was takin from pricerunner which always puts new phones at that value when they dont know its real value, also I have never seen a sar value for any SE phone that hasnt been launched, you'll just hafto wait and see. |

just been to CPW and had a look at a dummy phone. not too impressed with the size, it looks very thick.
I was allways a bit torn with the style of it but thought once i see it i will be won over
its going to have to do a lot to win me over now. The performance will have to be outstanding in all areas to get over the style and design that hasent won me over.
really dissapointed as i have been holding out for this as a change from my k810i.
I have a k770i coming out on monday as this looks quite classy. might end up opting for this |

just imagine if they had made the k850i the same size as the t650 and used the same materials also.
Now that would be good!
think the k770i is the same thickness as t650 isent it? plus i like the idea of a lense cover |

fine for me...............
like you see k850 have the same thickness like k810, and the same wide..(only that k850 is little shorter then k810, who makes it look little thicker).........look at k850 new 2.2" screen...so NICE.
dont forget that T650 is extremly thin.

well i owuld have never have said the two phones were the same thickness. I guess its because they have rounded the edges on the k810i. Plus if you were to do away with the hump fot the lense cover the k810i would probably have been 3-4mm thinner |

I don't know if this has been mentioned but it hasn't in the pages that I've looked at. The K850i will be available in the UK from Vodafone on Monday. I just found that out this evening from a very polite lady at Vodafone. She said anytime when the upgrades department opens (8am) they'll be taking calls for it.
I think I'll be calling up at 8am then spending all day wondering round town trying to find a CPW (probably won't take all day to be honest, they're f-ing everywhere!) to have a hold and feel of a dummy model. I know, I know, by ordering the phone before I've even looked at it in person is like queing for a week to get an iPhone. Well, it's not. Just because it's and it's going to rule. (do I sound like a Sony Ericsson fanboy? Well maybe I am a little:D)
I have a dig bick You read that wrong |

Well below the W880i, has a rating of 1.47W/kg according to this page. Any W880i users here? Do you notice the smell of burnt flesh after a long phone call?
