MTN cant take your number if you terminate your contract and want to port to another service provider. Before cancelling your suscription let the SP you going to port to know you want to bring your old number with you and let them sort it out for you.

@HOBBS: I hear you mate.

How does R3000 sound for a BNIB N78?

Anyone with money to spend, or not afraid to enter into a two-year contract can head over to Vodacom's special deals. They've got some nice deals there but I can't see any sign of the N78....and besides I'm impatient.

@bradboy: Its very tempting when one considers the median price is about R4000 in SA.

Has anyone here used the phone? Before I was mulling around the idea of a Walkman, specifically the W902 but its way too expensive....and its not S60.

Ye i agree with Brad, R3000 for a N78 is a steal, we have a N78 user here, JC08 owns one, so he's the one to talk to lol.
Brad
I saw you asked if 96MB RAM is good for multitasking. N81 has 96MB with around 42-44MB on start-up and the N78 has around 48MB at start-up. Its a decent amount, i can run OperaMini, MXit, Music Player, Opera8.65, and Symella at once and still have around 20MB free. So if you feel tempted by N78 id say go for it. Before i had N81 i had the N80 and i know what you mean about little RAM, having just around 21mb at start up on N80 realy sucked, and it suffered from memory leakage so if i hadnt restarted it the whole day after heavy use id close every app and only have around 13MB RAM. The N81 was a huge improvement, thanks to On-Demand Paging if i do what i did on N80 on the 81 and close every app after heavy use i still have around 40MB RAM.

Just looked at that Vodacom specials link Brix put up.I got to admit (I'd never get one) but those 2 Blackberries look cool.(BlackBerry 8310 & BlackBerry Pearl 8110) Same goes for that Samsung SGH-i780.

Brix,ever considered the E71?

Ye those Voda Specials look great, is it me or did i realy see a HTC Touch Diamond for R319pm!!? and the N82 for just under R260pm!!? id still go for a N82 over most FP2 S60s.
By the way i havent had any major problems with Vodacom, just the GPRS acting up once in a while
, not as bad as MTN, who seemed to be having MXit problems last week lol.

A belated Happy Birthday, Uncle Wanqa. I trust that you had a superb day, buddy, and that you'll have an awesome year ahead

@ all, Vodacom and MTN

se collective gat. Their service is horrible at the moment, dunno how in blazes they're going to cope once schools close and 79thousandhundredmillion youngsters all log onto mxit simultaneously AND at the same time! Crash and burn..

I'm not superstitious, merely mildly stitious.

Was just watching a dvd a friend of mine borrowed me, he said it was realy funny, its Robin Williams Live On Broadway, must say i did enjoy it, he has his moments, towards the end i found myself laughing quite a bit but he certainly aint a Dave Chappelle, Steve Harvey, Kat Williams, or Chris Rock, who always have me in stitches from the very beginning, but realy funny anyway, if you aint seen Live On Broadway i do suggest checking it out if you're a Robin Williams fan.
Anyway was just browsing through AAS when i found this worrying article: http://www.allaboutsymbian.co[....]Nokia_E90-High_School_Musi.php ,i mean the NOKIA N96 Bruce Lee Edition did kinda make sense BUT A NOKIA E90 HIGHSCHOOL MUSICAL Edition is just wrong, who ever came up with this idea musta been hitting on some heavy weed.
