@brix sorry about the N70, didnt expect u to keep it for this long boet, lol u was like me true to SE till u tasted S60. doubt i'll ever go back to sony unless it embraced da S60 OS.
@all, been wondering for a while wat my next phone should be, i'm so confused!! nokia has a lot to offer but its not in one phone. my choices so far are
N85
N79
5800
6220c
n78
N78 is a cool phone just dont like da keypad, is 96mb ram sufficient?? also want 5Mpx
only problem is i like small and light phones like 6120c(h8 low ram and small screen) N79 is lighter than N85 but damn big!!! 6220c has no wifi and smaller screen, keypad looks cheap
the 5800 will be da 1st s60 v5 phone so kinda dont know wat to expect.
any advise will be appreciated

If i had R10000 to spend on a new S60 id get the Samsung Innov8 ,looking at its hardware its currently the best Multimedia S60 after the E90.
Bradboy
Id go for the N85, eventualy you learn to live with the size and weight, my N81 is 140g and is a little taller than a N95 but ive become used to it. The N85 looks like its a nice size, its 1mm taller than a N81 and around 2mm slimmer, and it only weighs around 128g. The 6220c is the smallest fully featured S60 so far.

Innov8 is super! Just h8 samsung itself lol, but 8mpx,8 or 16 gig is super! I'd forgotten about it. Normally dont like slide phones, always had bar phones. Am considerin da N85, but having read its review on mobile-review.com i was disappointed dat it dont come close to da N95 8gb is certain aspects. But its most likely to be my next phone

Good to see you in these parts again, bradboy.
The N79 is 3mm shorter than the N78, although the other dimensions are virtually identical. And as you know already, the 5mp cam..
They have the same processors, (ARM 11) but the N79 has a little more (6MB) internal memory.

@amawanqa,thanks dude! i've always been lurking around this thread. Just havent posted on esato for months. Lol who would believe i've been around since 05 but only got 38 posts. Lmao am a lazy one.
Think i'ma post more often now
Thanks 4 da advice. N79 or N85, only vodacom will influence my decision wen i take up a contract. I've noticed dat these two phones r quite similar. Only difference i noticed at gsmarena was da screen size.

LMAO, thanks bradboy.
Had a bril day today; got spoilt by the better half.
Ya I'm holding onto the P1i for a while still; it really has been serving me well and there's still no sign of the 5800, so I can't see myself replacing my current smartphone before early next year, methinks.

Happy belated birfday wanqsta.
Just a quick question to everyone on Vodacom...are you guys happy with the service? Been hearing lots of complaints about Vodacom on other forums. My experience with them has been a mixed bag, won't exactly k@k them out on service but I'm open to switch to MTN now that we've got number portability.
Can you believe it, in the Philippines they still don't have number portability and many other network features that we in SA take for granted.

Happy Birthday Wangs.38.Nice and ripe.lol
@Brix I have no complaints whatsoever regarding Vodacoms service. But thats just me.In Sea Point I always have 3G/3.5G reception and havent had any problems with dropped calls ect Put it this way,I would have no hesistation upgrading my E90's firmware through another mobile phone on the Vodacom network using it as a modem.I suppose it depends on where you are in South Africa. In Cape Town Vodacom pretty much does a pretty good job.

Well in durban, their service is crap! In my hood i get dropped calls during off peak time, i usually switch to mtn coz gprs doesnt work well off peak, or doesnt work at all at times. I've had a dozen fights with consultants lol, h8 repeating myself. Oh i nearly forgot da 3g service is no longer available, if it is for a few minutes, its as if my phone is off i.e cant make or receive calls lol.
But i stil like voda, lol its better than mtn, on mtn dropped calls or network busy msgs r a way of life. 4 my contract next yr i really dont know who to pick. Which network is better in terms of "free" minutes and data bundles? Also h8 da fact dat mtn takes yo number wen u terminate da contract
