sorry mizzle but this is/has been for some time now out of hand, there is no p5i. only hopes and dreams that SE can cram as much tech as feasible into a phone to give way that the K850 and W960 werent the flagships of 'o7. as sad as it may seem, they were.
no onto the K900 7.2MP camera phone with highlights ...
ps: whens the silver/black k850 coming out?
PK did have one, so don't start that. I can't blame you for not knowing the stuff that he can't tell in public, but don't make lies like that.
Invitations aren't always sent out for announcements and most probably won't be for this announcement either.
Again, your posts lack a thing called truth and with your absence of knowledge in this case, you really shouldn't make these comments. The phone is in development, but whether it will be called P5 or not, is a thing only time can tell.

I wouldn't suggest for a second that PK didn't have the phone, and I'm not sure the previous poster did either - but one abundantly obvious truth is that the "P5" he had no longer exists. It's been taken away for unknown upgrades, and he hasn't had it back. All we know for certain as a result is that the P5 that everyone's been trying to picture here will not be released.
With that in mind, it's utterly pointless to carry on speculating and making assertions based on this obsolete prototype.

And not only the fact that PeterKay had the old proto is an evidence of the existence of the "P5i".
This "rumor" can be considered as true since there are more confirmations from different people 
The day PeterKay had to return his proto back my sources as well told me that their info-events got postponed. I do believe him.

i know what PK reported he had, i know what PK reported he has ... or doesn't in this case for this thread. yes, as right you may be about announcements and presentations, the other user stating that there would be one (im not going to perpetuate it by giving the time frame here, as ive seen posts get derailed and dominated by random dates) is just that, fan fodder giving false hope to SE enthusiasts.

why wouldnt SE throw a big presentation for a device that will be the epitome of what they stand for in 'o8? you think that UIQ doesnt want ppl to know what devices they have coming out? i highly doubt that the the "P5i" will somehow receive a sheltered reveal. either a private press event or an electronics show. SE has no interest in not telling ppl about their lineup.
instead of calling me ignorant, enlighten us that way there would be no reason to refute my post by saying i have no knowledge, this is a forum where it is assumed that you share knowledge, not sit back and revel on your "inside" information.
sucks about the black k850 ... i need a phone, and not one thats green or blue :/

What are the chances that the phone PK had is going to be used as both a Walkman brand and 'P' series? The photoshop looks like it would be a great music player especially if the new UI is decent. Whatever type of form it has for the 'P' line phone would be great as well i.e. QWERTY or P1 QWERTY. SE seem to be cutting R&D costs by doing this, I would not be surprised if two similarly designed handsets were announced but the Walkman would be more expensive for no good reason, as always. |

It's not impossible that SE decide to make the phone a flagship for another series instead. E.g. if it had a great camera it could be in the k series. If it had a great music player it could be in the W series. I wonder what upgrades they are making, and whether or not they will actually be for the better. |

The only part that really confuses me, up to now, is. . . .
If SE knew they were going to do a major refit to the Pnext prototype,
Why didnt they build the new one first, give it to the beta testers, then take the old proto back. There HAS to be more than 1 proto at a time, doesn't there???
Seems odd that they leave you without a test phone, and lose valuable testing time.

Guys, you are ignoring one thing... SE is supposed to have created a dedicated testing center in Germany...So maybe all contract beta testing is canceled and will only take place internally.
P990i: A mistake, a curse and a disgrace  So I lowered my expectations and settled for a P1i. I couldn't keep my expectations so low for a long time so now I have an HTC Touch HD |

Not sure, but the little "Esato Forum Picture" watermarks in the top left of each picture are a bit of a giveaway! Eg, it's just another mockup that somebody's posted in this forum somewhere.
That and the fact it all looks a bit scrappy.
