Well, if you stop thinking of a phone as a list, and you start to look at the ergonomics, the aesthetics, the functions, the snappiness of the OS, the speed with which it will apparently release, the full multimedia package we have waited for for a long time, then it starts to sound pretty frikkin sweet to me. Keep being pessimistic if you must, I dont care since I'm happy about it. |

It looks like the phone we all been wainting sony to release, let`s hope the others look as least as awesome as the Idou , in my case especially the next Xperia  . |

That clears that up. I wonder if this phone will incorporate the same 'cover flow' style feature as on the new Sony Walkman X series models? If they can do that as well as make the overall UI nice on the eyes this will be the first real iphone killer.

no no no...ANNOUNCED before the summer. That means, it will announce beginning of summer (say, end of June? Latest). So we will see it...how many months later? 7 odd? Nahhh Ill get it when I see it, if anything, Im not falling for a whole X1-esque hype time travel x-perience all over again >D |

7:45PM To be clear, "Idou" is Sony Ericsson's internal project name for the phone -- as usual, we'd expect a letter followed by three numbers when this sucker goes on sale.
7:43PM Idou's nice, but not groundbreaking -- from the quick video, it certainly feels like a me-too product. We'll see.
