I dont know but the HTC 8S looks insanely similar to the Xperia SX.
Sorry, but, what's that got to do with 'rumours'?
Yup, this is not really just about rumors anymore. This thread is pretty much a rumors + general Xperia chat thread.
On another note, the 2013 rumors thread has the same amount of post as the 2012 had in May, so we are 6 months ahead of schedule and will probably break the record for most posts in an annual rumor thread (beating 2011). Pretty useless trivia, but it just shows how much more excitement there is around Sony mobile now.

It will also break the records for having the most OT posts in a thread too. Or i think it already has..

So, Yuga updated Xperia Launcher leaked. Dunno how, dunno by who, but it at least have some nice new features, as new scrolling animation, new press and hold menu, new app drawer, with option to create folders inside it, and it is smooth as hell.
That means someone will hopefully have access soon to the rest of the files (app and framework folders) so a earlier port can already start.
I can't find any info on this online... link?
So yeah, what are the chances that Odin will have the white magic display and Yuga will not? Do we have confirmation that both will not have it, or only 1 will not have it so far? |

Nice, thanks.
So yeah guys, CES is only 2.5 weeks away... let's compile a full list of everything that will be there (those who are in the know will have to answer that) and everything we hope to be there. I figured we would have had more leaks those close to the event. Not only for Sony Mobile products, but just Sony stuff in general. For example, it was stated before that Sony would have OLED TVs... will we see 'em at CES? New tablets? Digital cameras? List anything and everything Sony that should be making an appearance please |

My new hope: Odin, which will release later than Yuga (possibly late March/April) in North American and a few other markets, will have a different display from Yuga -- the 5-inch JDI panel with WhiteMagic, PixelEyes, and Neo-IPS.
and it will remain as a hope.....if yuga doesn't sport whitemagic nor will the Odin...but yeah i am also hoping |

Quite frankly I do not know why you guys are so hopeful and excited about WhiteMagic. Even though it is a good technology by Sony, it's nothing special. Xperia P doesn't have astounding battery life, it has severe color reproduction issues at higher brightness levels, poorer blacks compared to S, Sola and U as well and hence slightly lower contrast.
So although WhiteMagic is decent, it is not a "game changer" or "deal breaker". WhiteMagic needs to be refined a lot more before it can be truly "missed" IMO.
The only two positive points are better viewing angles and better sunlight legibility. The former is already solved in Yuga thanks to Neo IPS panel, and the latter isn't bad either on Yuga.
Mobile Bravia Engine 2 is what will set apart the Yuga screen, and even if Yuga had a Whitemagic display it would still have been MBE 2 that would have set it apart and not whitemagic.
