The 2.3.7 features were awesome, compared to the 2.3.4 ones. I can't even imagine the features from 4.0.4 (or 4.0.3?) to XS!!

What was the difference? I upgraded to 2.3.7 right away.

I mean from the 2011 line. Mainly Music Player. Even XS MP looks way better than ICS 2011 one

GX camera pic samples were suffering from the same algorithm issue with S which produces Color noise, perhaps it has something to do with the JPEG compression but everything else is great, the pictures are so sharp that even the Japanese characters were easily discernible, plus the colors are spot on for a lowlight shot. although I honestly expected a much better output from an stacked RGBW BSI sensor. but anyway who can expect a good lowlight shot from a camera phone besides N8/Pureview? Next time I would like to see daylight samples instead

I can't do anything but to agree with razec, these pics are better than what I've seen in the older sensor in arc... I know that the new stacked sensor will allow just smaller size sensor with the same resolution without reducing the effective sensor area ( IE excluding the non-sensor area ).. so this is only for lower cost AFAIK.. I hope Sony will be able to use the saved space to make larger sensors so these sensors will be able to have better quality and lower noise... but I don't think so as the stacked sensor is made to reduce the cost which is already higher in RGBW & BIS technologies... but if Sony will focus more on higher quality then they need to reconsider... the only problem with larger sensors other than cost is the requirement for longer focal length ( length between the sensor it self and the lens )...
I really hope Mint ( LT30 I suppose ) will be really better than LT29i so it will really make it worth the one quarter wait...

I hope so, it's a nice detail to the design. So have we established if 'Mint' is also to be released globally?

^^
Based on all the rumors and other crap that is posted online it is supposed to be an international LTE phone.
It is hard to define international since not a lot of countries have LTE networks.
I got the XS a few months back and now I want to see what the MINT has to offer. AT&T LTE will be available in Q4 in my city so I want to get an LTE phone.
I looked at the One X at the AT&T store and it looks like a toy in my opinion. Hopefully the MINT will come to the US with the right LTE radio for AT&T. |

@DACHA
Thanks, it will still operate on HSPA networks regardless of whether LTE is available or not and hopefully it will be on the shelves before the end of the year.
