All I long for is that june will come to it's end and we will get a new date or a phone to be shipped.

SE need to release a press statment about this phone or sumthing because its taking far to long. Dont get me wrong i still want the phone but SE need to hurry up. |

if the initial M600 firmware is any indication, then you might prefer to while longer for the P990

Come on its not that bad after the R1B SEUS update though is it. Pretty good for a new device with a completely new OS, and far better than Nokia managed with the first couple of N80 firmware releases IMO.
Actually I am loving my M600 so much that I am now even questioning my need for the P990 at the moment. It's certainly help me stop feeling like I need the P990 yesterday though. |

I didn't say it was bad, but given that the P990 has more features including wifi and camera etc I just feel that to release the P990 with firmware even of the R1B quality is still a little premature
I just think it can only be better after the next firmware version following feedback from M600 buyers now that it is released generally

if it is true then you will see P990s in retail boxes on eBay in the next 24 hours. If you don't see any for sale....draw your own conclusions

I've read on some of the Indonesia handphone forum and it seems that the person who wrote on GSMarena is only giving a false statement.
Actually, it is a pre order for the P990i by a major service provider in Indonesia.

I preregistered on the SE UK store to be contacted on release, but then I also preregistered for other products which have already become available and suprise suprise, nobody contacted me so I wouldn't get your hopes up. |

Vodafone store Iakeside Essex have just told me that the P990 cannot be released at present as the business card scanner feature does NOT work and Wl FI is cause for concern SE have told Vodastores NOT to expect phones until August at the very earliest. Vodafone advised me to buy a1. blackberry as they CANNOT guarentee a release date for the P990
