I'm quite pleased it's out on o2 online. My contract is up in 10 days time!
I've emailed them to ask about upgrade prices. I assume I have to pay the same price as for a new contract? Does anyone know if I might be able to get it any cheaper seeing as I'm an existing customer? (I'm not on o2 200)
I know it's not that expensive, and I doubt I'll get a discount, but it's worth a shot! |

I remember when i upgraded to a T68i from my nokia a few years back. Seem to remember upgrade prices being quite expensive on O2 |

Has anyone received their O2 phone yet?
I've ordered one but just concerned they'll have rebranded the software.
My T610 from O2 had been modified. An O2 startup screen and some O2 logos I think.

@ukchalky
My O2 contract also runs out at the end of the month. I currently have an Online 50 contract (50 mins + 500 texts) which costs £20pm. I'd be interested to see what reply you get about upgrade costs and also whether I would be able to stick with my £20pm price or whether i'll have to pay the new price of £22.50pm.
Any of you O2 veterans have any ideas? |

if your signed to the contract at £20 then you'll still be paying £20. unless it was an 18 month deal.... |

@DigitalM
I'm not talking from experience, but seeing as O2 have been so quick to get the K700 to the market, i'm guessing the branding is minimal if any at all.
Of course we need someone to confirm this. |

OK, guys, let see if the key stuck problem is a manufacturing week problem. Mine is 04W22. As I said it is from Hong Kong.

I've just rang up O2. The woman on the other end was not exactly on the ball, but she did at least tell me the exact date my contract runs out (July 2nd) and that I would have to pay £29.99 to upgrade the phone on my existing tarrif. I asked her if I would keep the £20pm price rather than have to use the new £22.50pm price, but she didn't really know. I am guessing I will have to pay the extra £2.50pm though.
As for branding, O2 are usually very good at not overbranding their phones. My T610 does have a little undeletable O2 branded content, but the phone itself is not branded (which is great) and does have the standard firmware - I get it upgraded at the local SE centre, which luckily is about 2 minutes walk from my girlfriends house! |
