4,6" HD to 5" Full HD is a big jump.
I doubt SD845 will offer much more than SD835 in terms of battery.
Unless they fit 3000 or 3100, I dont think it can last much different from XZ1c.
Anyway, I am not convinced H83 is the Compact. But another device.
I still think the 15.28cm device is the 4K.
H82 and H83 are said to be 1080p.
And 5.7" 16:9 1080p would have less than 400 ppi.

Correct me if I'm wrong.
Uaprof shows all 3 H8XXX have screen ration of 16:9.
But this basically just shows how browser works, no?
Meaning even if it shows 16:9, actually device could have 18:9. |

It says : prf: ScreenSize>1920x1080
I think it would show 2160x1080 if it was different, because browsers have support for 2:1 and related.
The question is ... Why would they certify 3 phones to show just 2 at the MWC?
Does not make any sense.
Nobody certifies a phone in january if there is a plan to keep it until september.
This is from a website from China or Taiwan :
Global Mobile Communications Conference (MWC) will debut by the end of the month, the market came out, Sony will debut the first 4K OLED new flagship machine, Sony Mobile Lin Taiwan, general manager of Taiwan forecasted "entertainment" will be the focus of this year, play Group powerful movie, music, games Entertainment ecosystem.
The annual MWC will take place from February 26 to March 1 in Barcelona, Spain. Market came, Sony debut in addition to the first 4K OLED new flagship Xperia XZ Pro, but also came a small flagship XperiaXZ2 Compact.
And that irish retalier that tweeted about XZ2, when a costumer asked about XA2.

I pray each day to the Xperia fairy that you're right and this will be a "mini" - hopefully everyone that is calling this the XZ2c is wrong. I'm willing to wait until Q4 if they keep the compact less than 130 mm long. There are already a bunch of phones over 130 mm. Don't care about screen size or resolution - just give me a good quality compact phone.

Well it is safe to assume that we are at least getting the XZ2 and XZ2 compact, as for anything else who knows, evidence exists, but too much conflicting information out there. |

No information of camera, meaning only one thing, the current XZ1 sensor remains the same I guess. |

FPS on the back is lame... but that is the trend so can't really blame them. Plus not being able to have it available and marketed in the US hurts them for sure. no 3.5mm jack is not a huge deal cause bluetooth streaming is actually very very good these days. if you're a true audiophile you aren't listening to music on your phone anyway as even with wired, the quality is not as amazing as a dedicated player with an actual DSP.
i'm looking forward to seeing how this arc back looks in marketing shots and how it all works together. but looks like premium is gonna remain a surprise or they're hold it off until IFA, which makes sense if the 15 min press conference is true.

Me too. I can’t wait to see how it looks like.
Sorry I may have misunderstood your statement- they’re planning a 15-min press conference for mwc18? |

WTF is that article from Sweden?
18:9 screen, no jack and obscene price.
Who is in this planet going to pay almost $1000 for 4GB ram, 64GB storage and FHD+ screen?
It says the Compact is $740.
Everyone here thought the $1000 device would be the 4K screen.
XZ Premium is currently $1115 here, Sony's website.
Dont wanna know the price of this one... |
