anyhoo back on subject , ive been reading this forum for ages now and thought i'd try bluejacking with a touch of flair . I was in starbucks cafe waiting to pay for my caffein fix when i spotted some dandy in a suit dicking around with his 7650 facing me , i managed to take a photo of him without being noticed , i then paid for my drinkl and sat down nearby . One scan later and i had his phone on my radar , having duly renamed my t610 "club nokia" i sent him the picture and he got it first time . The result was hilarious he was looking in all directions until he worked out that the photo was taken from the counter then he started hassling the staff behind the counter about it so i sent him another message "step away from the counter and put your hands in the air " he just freaked and read it out aloud for all to hear , he was getting so agitated that the starbucks staff radioed for security so i sent him one last message "we are coming for you " then left the place quick smart . i think i made it about 2 metres before cracking up in laughter

@Ellie
Hey you.
Yeah I recognise you.
You're a lil celebrity in your own right... how can I not
PS : Can I have your autograph
@Anish
No it wasn't Ellie I jacked, I have posted this same story at bluejackq.com.
@Abby
Glad you liked the story.
As for your phantom T610 that appears. I assume you have a Z600. It operates amost identically to the T610 that I have. When you succesfully send someone something it does get stuck at the top of the list.
Now if you go to CONNECTIVITY > BLUETOOTH >> MY DEVICES it isn't listed there.
If you go to send a contact then the last person you sent to is always listed there. So your best bet is to ignore the top T610 and wait till its finished searching to see if it displays anything else.
Once you BJ another phone it will be replaced by that phone.
I still have an "Unknown" on there from the Weekend... but thats another story (that I'll have to paste from bluejackq.com )

I agree - all of the Bluejacking sites give credit to Ajack for finding it and telling the world about it and none of us with sites claim to be the best or even the first - that would be big headed and naive.
We simply want to build sites that promote it and as far as I can see none of us make any money from it - even the google ads on mine don't cover the hosting and registration costs let alone the time taken to manage them - it's a labour of love.

@all:
Really appreciate the fact that you guys remember me.
However, the most important thing after you credit me for figuring out this bluejacking thingy is to point people to this thread that started it all.
Peace!

OMFG @ Elli,
you didn't only took the credit for being the inventor of bluejacking, now you are trying to make money with it.
Selling T-shirts and sweaters on your site.
Sorry to say this, but HOW LOW CAN YOU GO!!!
That's my opinion |

Or maybe Ellie's satisfying a demand... I'd love one of those BlueJacking Hoodies. Will get one when funds steady up.

I was walking through the local shopping centre when I came across a Nokia Ngage (Tony Hawk) Competition. There were 6 Nokia staffers with NGArbaGE, getting people to play the Tony Hawk game. I thought to myself we can't have this going on. So I decided to lurk in a nearby store and got my Sman working on the P800 with the following message 'NOKIA NGAGE SUCKS'. The looks on the demostrators faces every time the phone asked if they wanted to accept 'NOKIA NGAGE SUCKS' was priceless. In just 5 minutes I got 23 Bluejacks.
I believe I have done my bit for society today.
