I'm just wondering if other people have some of the same problems with their k800i's as me...
When using the camera with macro on, does anyone else have problems with focusing? Mine does (eventually) focus properly, but it almost always zooms out to the background 5 or 6 times before it settles and stays on the foreground subject - even if the subjects takes up most of the scene.... It takes great shots when it works, but i'm getting a little annoyed with it now.
Also, does anyone else struggle to get the phone to fully charge? Mine says 100%, but it continues to charge regardless, even though the first time i charged it said 'fully charged' when finished. The guy where i bought it told me to let it run down (from the initial half-charge i bought it with) to dead and charge it until it said fully charged -not the 12 hours people have been doing here. Has this screwed the battery? Should i go and punch him?

they always show fully charged after a while, you should have left it for 12, id go punch him. I always let mine run down to off then charge for 12-16 for initial charges |

so basically... take the phone out of the box, put the battery in, use it til it dies, then charge it for like 12 hours? |

it's good to know that some bastard salesman has possibly screwed up my perfectly good battery...
So has anyone had that focusing issue with the camera? |

12hr charge on a puny 900mAh 3.7V battery is ludicrous IMO. When most people refer to charging "overnight" they mean 6-8 hrs max. Here's a good guide on charging batteries:

yeah. i remember when i got my K750...
i got it out of the box, popped the battery in, played with it for about a half hour, then i stuck it on the charger and went to sleep.
unplugged it when i woke up and it's perfectly fine to this day. |

IMHO I think people spend far too much time worrying about batteries these days
I never give them a second thought and just use the phone and charge it in whatever way suits my lifestyle
I do keep a USB charger at work... just in case, but rarely need it. It mostly gets used by other people in the office!

hey all, i have a bit of dilema over here and decided to post here seeing that most of you know what you're talking about (having a k800)
i have a choice between 2 telephones : w810(i know all there is to know about it) and k800 (have no clue) and thats why i turned up here ...
i want you guys to give me good strong reasons for picking the k800 instead of the w810 (apart form the obvious ... i ain't that dumb )
cheers |

I think the obvious is, well obivious enough LOL
Better Camera (Many upgrades are included in this not just the MP bump)
Bigger Screen
Higher speed internet (where applicable with 3G)
Video calls (goes with above)
Cover for the Lens of the camera (BIGGEST drawback I see in the W810 - the SHOULD have at least done the cover that the W800 has).

i want differences in programs ... or how it is responding to your comands ... any hint that there would be problems with the joystick or with the cover of the camera (not problems tat you noticed because all the phones are practicaly brand new but if you noticed if the joystick has a tendancy to become less accurate or smth)
thanks
ps: wow 1000 messages

even though 1000 messages is pretty cool, why cant they just make an option where it automaticly saves the messages to the memory card that way you can decide how many you want to keep. |

Is it possible to edit the snooze funktion? I want to have 5 minutes instead of 10 minutes. |

its 9 minutes rather than 10
here is an old thread, but one in which you can find an explanation of why its 9 minutes and even now, you cannot change that duration (unless FAR has a way, might be worth checking that thread just in case)
K700i - 9 Minute Snooze Time
