i don't see those numbers in the teaser either.
people are also speculating the meaning of the way the numbers in the date show up. I honestly don't think it means anything. just a nice way to bring up the date of MWC presentation.
I really think the teaser has something to do with natural/soft touch. the way the lines curve and then drape over the cupped hand seems to point something toward natural/softness. time will tell.

People are excited for the new Xperia phones. So do I. This is the only moment for them to steal everyone's attention since S9 will be boring.
If Sony makes even one bad, gigantic, dumb move, they'll be doomed. I mean really doomed.

Recombu is a bit Sony biased, so i'm not surprised that is the highest one on their site. I bet the same survey at GSMarena or something would give different or at least closer results. that being said, we pretty much know all there is to know about the S9 so not exactly exciting there.

Recombu likes all phones they test.
Have never seen them make heavy critics on any like Verge and PA does.
AP last year was hating on Sony a lot.

No, they aren't a Sony-bias. But, they happened to make more videos about Sony than other reviewers that reviews Sony phones. |

What the....
The rumours are way out of control now. I think I'll stop believing them until someone reliable said it or if it is already D-2.
Edit: oh wait.. H41xx is XA2, right?

Recombu is in UK.
I believe England is the first place Sony starts sales of new devices.
Clove Technology always gets phones before other retaliers.
They gave price of S9/S9+ already.
XA2 = H4113, H3113, H4133 , H3133, H3123
L2 = H4311, H3311, H4331, H3321,
XA2U = H3223, H4213, H4233, H3213
Phone Arena is wrong, unless Sony is going to do like Asus did to Zenfone 4 ( SD630 e 660)

Here is how the batteries changed in the new phones
L1 2620 mAh
L2 3300 mah (25% more)
but thickness went up as well, L1 8.7mm to L2 9.8mm, L2 was also not as wide. Weight remained about the same.
XA1 2300 mAh
XA2 3300 mAh (43% more)
again thickness went up, XA1 8mm to XA2 9.7mm, but then the screen size also changed, from 5 to 5.2, weight went up by around 30g a well. Bezels did shrink because of the new screen though.
XA1U 2700 mAh
XA2U 3580 mAh (32%)
of course it became thicker, XA1U 8.1mm to XA2U 9.5mm, weight up 33g.
With larger battery came thicker devices naturally, if the new XZ2 devices were to become thicker because of the rounded rear, then 1mm to maybe 1.5mm extra is plausible. Then XZ2 could be 8.5 to 8.8mm thicker, XZ2c perhaps even thicker than 1cm, 10.1 to 10.5mm thick.
As for battery, it could go anywhere from 20 to 25% but tonylcc said in a prev post 5% more for compact and 1/5 more for the larger one, so, compact would have 2835 mAh, larger device 3250 mAh, which while not close could be what he meant by those 2 numbers but then why add decimals to the numbers. This is all assuming his info is accurate.
2.87, 3.18 are not aperture, nor sensor diagonals. They could be bezel widths in mm, or they could just as easily be in inches, and those 2 numbers could be the width of both the new devices, but again too much speculation is dangerous. |
