You better are right. The Innov8 runs circles around the C905 when it comes to specs. And it can be bought right now ! Give me one good reason why this should sell better then the Samsung?
Calm down, angry man. We don't work for so don't get upset with us!
I'll give you one very good reason it might do better:
It's cheaper!
Even if it doesn't, who cares? I don't see why everything on this site upsets everyone so much

I believe over the last year or so Samsung outsold SE like 2.5:1 Which means for every one agreeing with you, there are 2.5 others who don't
But then again , who cares about the real world. I suggest you buy it (the INNOV8) and replace the Samsung logo with SE . Now that will make you happy Afterall you'll have the most sophisticated and complet SE ever produced by a mile
If you dislike so much, why come to this forum? Just go to the Samsung forum and you'll be much happier. I really hate people who come here just to slag products off. Go the gym or something, get stoned or whatever, just chill and let us get on with a discussion!

There are some 'Half' people out there? Where are they, I want to meet them and feed them cheesy poofs!

Thats so true. I have 50 java games to give away on my phone but no-one who has a Samung phone can get them working.
Plus, its the little things, like when you receive a file by BT on an SE phone you get the option to use / view the file straight away.
BT a file to a Samsung phone, I think it was a D600? and you have to go into the FS to retrieve it. Its little things like this that make SE's such a breeze to use.
No kidding. You are fooling yourself big time - to think a chap with a INNOV8 will want your 50 free java crap. Give me 1 top s60 game then a 100 java. Not only they are not designed for a specific graphic accelerator but even worse, they are designed to use as little resources as possible and play on as many systems as possible. That's exactly the opposite to hi-performance. I belive Alcatel and of course Sagem (SE's affiliate and 'quiet' mentor) plays your java games too. Go try them on

I've stayed away from SE phones for a while now, instead using Nokias (quad band plus North American 3G) and Blackberrys. But this C905a is going to bring me back to the fold mighty quick! If build quality is good and the initial firmware is stable, BOOM! I'm there.

IMO this nokia vs Sony ericsson war is just like boeing vs airbus
both presents different options but in the end , they let you reach the destination

this is a question for the people who have used sony ericsson sliders before:
Does the keypad auto lock if you close the slide and can you play games, browse the internet, veiw photos, answer calls etc.with the slide closed?

Yes it should lock after closing the phone, but you can unlock it like that and play with it while it is closed.

Good I would like to know too. It should be the same with the sliders and the swivels. But let's see.

yep, the w910 will lock when closed but only when you are in standby mode or in the play now screen. These are the two times you are likely to want to lock the phone when closing it. Otherwise it stays unlocked.
When you close the display from standby and it locks, for about two seconds the left softkey alone can be pressed to unlock the phone, afterwhich you have to press the left then the right softkey to unlock.
The operation of the slide is a classic example of thoughtful SE ergonomics, inherited from Ericsson of course. It's something the Swedes are particularly good at.

My W910 slide doesn't lock in media player, only in the music play now screen. The play now screen is the screen you get when you are actually playing the track, the one with the album art window.

That INNOV8 chap will want whatever he can get for free after spending $1200(750euro) on a phone. Besides the camera side of the INNOV8 and the new LG both look like cr*p. Looks like the design teams got lazy and said "good enough, just throw a bunch of text and logo's on the back." |
