Did anyone try those Telescope lenses from Ebay? They are rather cheap and you get a 6x optical zoom. I am considering to buy one...

I'm about to buy one as well so I'd appreciate an opinion from an owner.

Cangrat. to us all for new driver

Anyway, i have some questions...

- About AE lock. When we use AE lock, we have to point the camera where the light is ok to lock AE with half press shutter. It mean that we can not use half press shutter to focus the real object we want to shoot right ? If not, how it can be done (lock AE and focus target object) ?

- About macro. Is it ok to turn macro on all the time ? With manual focus 1.1, i found it very useful for landscape and fast snap. But we have to press 4 and + before shooting. If we can leave macro on at the first place, it should be faster to take the quick picture, just one '+' away

But i wonder if turning macro mode on all the time even normal (not close-up) shot will harm the camera in long term usage. If it not, i will leave it on all the time, thx.

BLKSnaker's 9.21 (CC Fixed)

http://www.rogepost.com/n/1456674107

- Base driver: 9.0
- Enhanced Mode - Macro ON (Normal/Night = EM/ENM, LED Support)
- Super Manual Focus (Macro ON: 1.0 Autofocus, 1.1 Focus to Infinity, Manual Focus Range 1.2-4.0 with Zoom preview)
- 3 VR Modes (NormalMode=15fps, NightMode=10fps, EnhanceNightMode=5fps)
- Advanced Zoom (x4: for Photos & Night/EnhancedNight Mode VR, x16: Smooth Linear for Normal/Enhanced Mode VR)
- AE Lock

- Enhanced Mode Supports WB Profiles (also with LED)

Instructions for Super Manual Focus:
Enter Enhanced Mode (Macro ON).
When in range 1.1-4.0 (+/-) click half-shutter for preview with zoom (you can ON/OFF zoom preview by clicking half-shutter)
now (when zoom is on) you can adjust focus very precisely (+/-)
when picture is most sharp click half-shutter again (the zoom will go off and EV will be corrected)
and now press shutter to take picture.

Hi BLKSnaker,

Does your 9.22 driver have CC support also? I don't see it listed for it, so I'm not sure.

Thanks

@Krio
i'm glad you erased the CC function and SPOT from 21.8 ^_^
But again.. you should switch the normal/fine functions (we don't use EM and ENM that often)

why? with FINE you get fine pictures (EM/ENM etc) and with NORMAL you get normal pictures its logical

good point i was thinking about removing AE Lock maybe in 21.9...
about macro, i have it enabled all the time (and FINE quality setting)

EDIT:
i have an idea AE Lock will be enabled only when Macro is ON (super manual focus) because in this mode you can adjust focus manually
make it so in 21.9?

Hi. It doesnt have CC...9.21 has.

Ok, thanks. If I wanted to include it in 9.22 what line(s) of code do I need to grab and where would I place them?

@Kiromag: I actually like AE. However, I wish it could be made to work with AutoFocus.
