Definitely go for the £35/month. It's much better than the second deal as you pay £1 extra per month but also get an additional 200 texts.
The £30 per offer is good, but you're "only" getting 400 minutes, compared to 750 with the other one.
If I were you, call O2 one more time, and try to haggle the price down from £35. Tell them something like you were offered the £35/month deal, but they told you to call back so they could negotiate a better price... |

I already tried it this morning on my way to work as I mentioned yesterday the guy from 3 Network was calling me back - I even tried flirting with the girl telling her I liked her accent but sadly I had no joy
I went for the £35 tariff taking advantage of both minutes and texts - It suits me and will be cheaper than my current monthly bills so I'm happy.....for another 12 months at least!
Thanks to everyone who contributed to this thread.

Just got a W800i for free plus £45 cashback from the carphonewarehouse, asked for my PAC, stated i could get the phone for free on a new contract
(My bill has never gone above the free minutes and texts during the 12 month contract)
Thanks! |

Tried my luck today with o2 after reading all these posts.
Im currently on o2 online 500 off peak mins + 500 texts.
Told them about the '3' 500 xnet any time mins + 500 txts, and he said hes never heard of it in his life.
anyway, after a discussion with his manager, and a lot of talk with me, the best he could off me was ,
£20
500 xnet anytime mins
100 Txts.
£30
400 xnet anytime mins
1000 Txts.
or free line rental for next 4 months.
Not very happy, gonna give them another bash later, i told him i want 500 xnet anytime mins + 500 txts for max £20, but he said no way.
anyone recon i will be able to get this deal out of them? |

kokoko: the standard charge for discount 500 is £25 that means you're getting it for £5 a month!?!? Are you sure you're not getting a £5 discount which makes it £20 a month?

orignally i was on online 200 for £15, that was charge by giving me 12 month £5 and £10 off a month, then i got moved to discount 500 with 400 text and they have not removed the £15 off and added another £5 lol according to the customer service person when i enquired about what tarriff i am now, so ill have to wait till the 9th to see what i get billed, but im hoping it gonna be £5 plus £5 for the insurence. ill post back on the 9th |

@ash213,
That's plenty enough to get the same deal as most. I would push back and get a better deal!! |

well i can confirm that the cpw don't wanna give anyone a deal no matter if you say your leaving and the guy i spoke to was very rude and gave me the number of a fax machine to try and fob me off,
Looks like i'll have to join o2 online and go for one of there offpeak deals as i can't get anything at peak times with text and calls for the £20 mark
