Just wanted to say thanks to sebby.dont think i would have flashed it without his help. I now have an unbranded silver k750! (no more of the vodafone crap and the menu looks a lot better now!!!) Hopefully the davinci team will soon find a way to make the fone simfree. The i will be very chuffed indeed. Good luck to those who are debranding. |

Sebby, thank you so much mate! I followed excatly what you've been saying and I've just flashed my K750i Cheers!!!
Just one question though I just thought I'd try the SE Update Service now that I have put R1J002 EU2 on my phone with CDA102338/38 and R6A and now it says I could update the firmware lol. Before it said there wasn't anything for my provider. If I let it update my phone what do you think will happen, I'd rather not try and then find out...

@ mizanur1982
You're welcome.
@ Sainty
You're welcome too!
If you let it update your phone, I would think it will flash exactly the same firmware as is currently on your phone. For some reason, the K750i Update Service can't tell when a phone is up-to-date already. I've tried with my own handset that I have unbranded and it downloads the correct unbranded firmware and not the Orange-branded firmware that it would have done in the past.

Great!!
Wait till I get to work tomorrow and tell all the staff members, there is at least another person that will want this done to theirs! And we work for Vodafone, you know somethings going wrong don't you? lol I've already exchanged my handset already the 2nd day it was out (also the 2nd day I had it ) because of major lockups! But all perfect now! Loving it :D:D

Sebby I flashed mine with the latest unofficial firmware - R1L002
After that I tried to use the SEUS and it was working. It started downloading some firmware to be put on my phone but I stopped it. I think it was going to put the previous one R1J002 (official from SE).
Do you think this was was going to happen?
In general which one is better - R1L002 or R1J002? |

Hello.
If i want to change my swedish vodafone k750 to a generic swedish k750 what settings should i put in?
CDA Number?
CDA Revision?
Model?
Language Variant name?
I guess
CDA102337/12
R4A
K750
??
Can somebody please help me?
And if i change all this SEUS will work as usual, right??

Use exactly these settings:
CDA102337/12
R4A
K750i
EUROPE_4
Note the added "i" after K750
Also note that you need to flash your phone with EU_4 firmware. The latest R1L002 isn't avalable for EU_4, so you will have to flash with R1J002 instead.

Cool cool, so if i do that and after that use the seus when it is updated whith some new fw so will i get the new one for a unbranded phone and not the voda crap
And eu_4 includes swedish?
Thanks. |

Hi! Im new here, im from mexico and im really planning to get a k750, but there are 2 options to get one on ebay from hong kong, the only problem is that i need to phone to be in spanish, not the phone itself, but speciallly for the sms t9 (predicitve text) and i dont know what i would have to do to get it done, and the other option is to wait untl telcel (a cellphone carrir in mexico) gets it out on the market, but it would be a locked phone, so i need to know if i could unlock it or sioemthing to get the software updates from SE's website, cause as far as i know if its locked (branded) it wont let you use the SEUS, and i would also like the camera shutter mute, so i dont know what to do.. so, to make it short... if i get it from hong kong, would i be able in some way to change the t9 to latinamerican spanish and at the same time mute the camera shutter sound? and if so... how? Please help! Thanx to everyone |

It could be said that more bugs could be introduced too though.

there were no problem on r1a, but after upgrading to r1L, the handsfree cannot be detected by the phone.
