why don't you o2 online customers just go into your local o2 store? then no wait for delivery and if anything goes wrong with the phone, you just bring it back to them instead of having to post it back to o2 online. Plus you get to talk to cheerful o2 staff such as myself. And just incase anyone cares, o2 castlecourt belfast has them in stock now, but don't you all be rushing there and stealing mine! (which i was told would be held over until friday for me, but you never really can know.) But my friend who i work with got 1 for herself today, she used to be a nokia/samsung fan but i converted her to the k700i and she loves the k750i even better, supposidly it's the best thing ever! I can't believe this wee topic i started has nearly reached 200 replies, i'm well chuffed.

Umm the reason we use 02 online is because their tariffs are better than in the high street!!

Just visited my local o2 store. Asked about the K750 and was told that the phone hasn't come in yet and is due in a weeks time. I was also told that it would only be available if I took out another 12 month contract and couldn't just buy the phone from them as they do not offer sim free handsets.

Strange really as I was able to buy 2 K500's from them last December :??

I'll wait. Not taking out another contract with them as I've already got one which doesn't finish until December 10th. Wonder if I complain, mention about cancelling and could get a better offer from another network. Maybe thay would offer me one

Hmmm... free phone, £12.50 line rental for 6 months, then £25? Is that a good deal? http://www.redmobile.co.uk/2/showphones.php/3783

Can anyone find k750i on Orange Off-Peak 1000 for £20/month (which Orange's website currently has), but with a free handset (which other sites do, but Orange don't)...?

Has anybody used them before ?

Ok guy I’m going to tell you a little story about o2:

Today I decided to go get myself a k750i from my local o2 store, so I walked in to the store and asked the assistant if the had any k750i’s in stock.

To which he replied "yes we have one left, just take a seat while i go get it for you"

So the guy comes back out and shows me the phone and asked how I would like to pay for it, I the reoffered to the catalogue and said that I would like to buy it sim free for £300.

Now this is were it gets interesting, He looked at me and said, "Sorry sir but I can't sell it to you sim free as it just isn't profitable"!!!!

To which I replied " so you catalogue is completely misleading?

He the said “Sorry sir but I have nothing to do with the catalogue” and that “management has decided not to sell the phone that way”

At this point I asked to speak to a member of management, but you guessed it! They were out to lunch! So I promptly left the store and I will never return to that one again!

So I thought I’d give the o2 store in East Kilbride a chance to redeem my faith in o2.But this store is even worse!

I walked in and was greeted by the smiling face of the sale assistant, I Once again asked if the had an k750i’s in stock to which she replied

“Yes we have five in stock take a seat while I go get one”

So she came out with the phone and I said I would like to purchase it sim free, At this point she looked at me like I was speaking Swahili!

She then went into the back of the shop and came back and said sorry sir but we can sell phones like that! I referred to the catalogue again.

At this point she really astounded me, I asked why the wouldn’t honour the catalogue and she said…………………

“Because we don’t want to!”

At this point it just laughed and walked out of the store! I can safely say I will never use either of these o2 store again!

so the more of the story is o2 in glasgow will only sell to you if they want too!

lol @ selling it sim-free at £300 not being profitable! In Holland they sell it sim-free at £220 and they think it's profitable!

Similar to the attitude that I recieved my my local O2 store.
The one nearest to me is in the Potteries shopping centre, Hanley, Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire, UK.

When I asked to buy it sim free he had a look of disgust as if I'd said something wrong. I mentioned that I was able to buy the 2 K500's last December but all he said was we do not sell sim free phones. Wouldn't say anything else. Promptly walked out. Took my contract out from there but will certainly not be returning to renew it

Sony Ericsson K750i out for Upgrade on Orange from £29.99 - Shame I can't upgrade till June 12th!

Unless I want to pay £75 + VAT +£29.99 anyway!!!!

Anyways go forth and Upgrade! and don't forget to get back with Orange Branding Horror Stories (TM).

As a citizen of Sweden I'm stunned how hard it can be to buy an ordinary cell phone in other countries. In Sweden we don't have such limitations and can buy them in any way we want and pay for them in any way we want and not necessarely from an operator.

In that respect I definitely live in right country.

@Laim, that is good news, I was told 14 days. Pity o2 cant brief their staff properly about phone releases etc. Would only take a few mins at the beginning of the day...

@richard - Im very tempted to take a trip from Kilkeel to the castle court o2 store and pay the £50... but think Ill wait till the end of the week and see if I can get it for free... £50 is, after all, half a pair of replays...

I feel so guted i don't even feel like typing out what happend.

Something which made it worse was actually seeing the staff waving the phone around in your face. Made me want to kick his ass!
