Mine was this Sony CMD-J5. Really cool, was one of the first polyphonic ones and everyone just loved the amazing ringtones it had.

1990 - Had a Cellnet brick-phone. Did exactly what it says on the tin, but it weighed the same as an average family car. Dropped it once the phone was fine but it cracked a floor tile.

nice guys, i can remeber how i used to play snake on my dad's monocoloured extremely small screen nokia which he had constantly plugged in for charging in his car, as the battery used to run out so fast!!, it is quite amazing how fast the popularity of mobile phones has increased, and also how their technology has advanced, i mean it was just a couple of years ago, people would have laughed if u told them your phone had a camera!
Check these out: "Ringtone Market Now Worth Frightening US$2.5 billion"
"Total mobile subscribers top 1.8 billion"
"In many countries, mobile phones now outnumber land-line telephones, with most adults and many children now owning mobile phones. In the United States, 50% of children own mobile phones"

Phillips Genie. With hi-res screen (100x64), EFR, voice dialing, SMS delivery reports, and todo list. Much better than any Ericsson or Nokia at the time. I've still got it, and it works fine.
