As I mentionned earlier in the thread, I have one from Delta. But it's the previous model (remember, the elongated one, with changeable pin).
Still, it's the only charger I have that makes noise when plugged to the phone.
Do you think I should send it back to ? |

I think it would be nice if everyone thanked Alias for the original post???
I would not be suprised if he/she has been scared off posting again by the non-believers.
Shame on you......
Kerwin.

Cheers Alias!
Just got my two changed go my local o2 shop. I do not think it matters to the shops so you should just go into your nearest shop. One of mine was from o2 online and the other was from Carphone Ware House, and the o2 high street shop changed them both. Now i will sleep safe without being blown up :-)

Why did it crack you up? |

Because I sat with me chargers in hand... even went ot locate me old phone and ste them both to charge immediately. Was monitoring results for a bit too. Fairly uneventful charge of course...
In truth.... if customers worldwide had been experiencing EXPLOSIONS... it would not have gone unnoticed. There would have been massive press attention, worldwide recall and the brand would be damaged beyond repair. Imagine the headlines on CNN, to name one. Your first post sounded like a worldwide bomb alert and those really really do not usually come in a phones forum. they come on the 8 o'clock news. That's why.
In any case... assuming most ppl in the UK are getting sorted.... does it matter anymore?
You did good sharing with us what you knew at the time. My compliments.

"The charger is manufactured in Thailand by Delta, an external supplier, and has the identification number BML162099/3R1A printed on the socket face, along with "made in Thailand by Delta". The charger has been included with the following Sony Ericsson Phone Models: T68i, T300, T310, T610 and the Bluetooth handsfree accessories HBH-30 and HBH-65. It has also been sold separately as an accessory. At this stage we believe that the problem is limited to chargers sold in the UK only"
Whats is the HBH-65? |

Thanks for the info and sorry but it's serious that thing, not about the explosion itself but the damages that it can do. Imagine, you have the faulty charger it doesn't "explode" but something goes wrong in it and it takes on fire ..... or even your phones gets from 5V DC to 220V in AC, you see the thing. |
