What's there to leak? V will look the same as IV, all the other specs will be in line with the other flagships. Price will be high. I'm waiting for the 5V announcement then I'll get a cut price 5IV, if the price doesn't drop I'll just get a 5III. The difference between them is minor. |

Does anyone know what Sony's future plans are for mobile? They still release 3 models in limited availability, they never promised 4 years of updates, and there is no sign of them going global again.
When the first 1 came out, I think they said their niche status was temporary and they were gonna go global in time.
They released too many similar models back in the day and this hurt them, they now cut down on models but it seems like they are doing the same thing by releasing similar designs with minimal changes. Last few iterations were kinda boring imo.
They wanted to bet big on 5g, we've seen some efforts like the pro but that died down quickly too.
Are they happy where they are and will keep doing the same things until it's not profitable? Or do they have a plan for new things? Will they ever go global again? |

Places I know Xperia 2022 lineup is sold.
USA, Singapore, China, HK, Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand, Spain, UK, Belgium, Netherlands, France, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Austria, Czechia, Slovakia, Italy, Slovenia, Poland, Greece, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Switzerland*..
** Russia is not included for obvious reasons.
Some places like Ukraine, Belarus, Azerbaijan and Georgia redirects to Sony Russia. Cyprus to Sony Greece.
So I have no idea if any of these markets have Xperia.

Yes that is me, no leaks sadly so far. I have received various information, a lot of it nonsense, but the main thing I have been hearing is the earbuds will be smaller than the current model.
Like I mentioned, sony has plugged a lot of leaks, and not just in mobile.

The Japan only 5IV in blue looks amazing, they should go for the highly successful Xperia Compact colours like lime and red. |

Two leaks poped up. One that looks exactly like what was shown here (hopefully our buddy is not dead by now because of it) and one another that has knurled frame like shutter button. It also has camera island all wrong btw. |

How phone is shorter if render has same bezels of mark 4? Unless the screen is smaller, there is no way.

Please add a good super effective cooling system to the phone. This should be a damn good flagship with snapdragon 8 gen 2 and lpddr5x and UFS as well as usb 4.0. IF add LTPO display (minimum 1500 nits )and faster micro sd card readout it should be damn fine!
BTW there is a rectangular slot/ covered tab at the phone edge just above the camera. Wonder what it is??
