Professional videocameras use only EIS. Usually they are 10 or 12MP. (Tv channels rarely use more than 1080p).
Most photo cameras lenses do not have OIS.
OIS adds 0.5 stops, IBIS at least 5.0 of stabilization.
Having IBIS, also would allow pixel shift (if space enough).

Xperias went from the best video stabilization among flagships to worst when it transitioned from EIS only to OIS+EIS. With photography taking priority over video starting with Xperia 1 OIS was necessary and I get that but obviously something is really wrong since we are now four devices away from the initial one with OIS+EIS combo and improvements have been so incremental. Xperia 1 has a lot more tear and shake but a lot more detail compared to Xperia 1II which has occasional tears but it lost texture details when shooting in Camera app. |

1ii has more crop than 1. FOV is narrower.
More pixels are cut off.
Reason texture is worse.
But ppl that know how to use Cinema Pro and properly deal with HLG edition say footage is stunning. Too good to believe it was from a phone.

Please let it be better performance than 865+ yet consume less battery and temperature overheating unlike snapdragon888. |

yes, that was me.
but I deleted that post out of severe suspicions I've had with those words. Many of the info I received was also really suspicious. I shouldn't have said that in the first place (should've confirmed them with other sources too).

It's alright Alvin. You gave us something to talk about at least.
Sony did 4K when the os didn't support it, maybe they found a way to implement 120hz into 4k too considering it's not 2160p. |

There is no 4K 21:9 without crop.
Using 2160p, would be 5K already (which I would not mind).
Samsung and OP offer 21:9 recording. Both do 1644x3840 |

It seems Xperia 1 III and 5 III are being developed simultaneously

Ever since all these confusing rumors showed up, it looked like there was more than one device talked about. Maybe the pro will have higher res screen as some people said "true 4K" and larger diagonal. But if it's 1 and 5 together, it also makes sense. But this could mean a later release. I kinda wish they announced and released 1 and 5 together later in the year instead of killing off their hype with announcing soon and releasing months later. |

SD870 = 865++
Just overclocked overclock.
Failure if Sony uses it.

LG is considering exiting smartphone business.
Sony Mobile's strategy was right maybe. At least, we can see 2012 Xperia

I rather they use it if the snapdragon 888 really heats up so much and throttles much and consumes much battery .

Code 8350 was found on their servers last year.
8350 = SD888

- bit smaller than 10ii
- 8Mp selfie
- seems to be stereo
- seems to be google button, too high for cam shutter .
