what a ridiculous battery test. "standardized" haha.. what a joke.
1st this line " battery that is not easily user removable as on most modern phones." like what? as far as i know, "most modern phones" are unibody or sealed with metal or glass backs. Definitely not easily user removable as this line would suggest.
2nd how can you say it's a standardized test when you are using a 1.5amp charger vs. a samsung charger which runs at 3amps (i believe). The only standard part of that is that it's an out of the box charger, but otherwise it's an unfair comparison.
articles like this make me sick. throwing around buzz words to make their "tests" more official. This is no better than those "studies" that claim headline conclusions based on arbitrary data collected from a tiny sample of a much much larger population.

The Xperia XZ is coming to Eir mobile in Ireland from the 1st of October, 2016.
Hopefully Clove UK will get stock at the same time.
This from a review from Italy.
The stabilization greatly improves the results, especially indoors and in low light. In general this smartphone goes from "very good" to "excellent" for photo-quality, depending on the situation. The automatic mode is called "Superior Auto" and it works very well indeed: select the right scene and sets all parameters in the best way.
But there is also some defect: it can happen to blurred photos in dark environments, and stabilization seems less effective than that seen on the latest Samsung or LG. Occasionally the colorimetric sensor completely wrong and generates images from the colors entirely

woo.. oct. 1st would be great. but i'm not gonna get my hopes up.
seems like the general consensus is the video stabilization is top notch and I've always thought so. video quality could be better at times (at least on my Z1) but i hope the xz improves on that. i've always thought it is way better than what anybody else can produce even with OIS (the stabilization i mean)
curious that they say superior auto is great, but then call it a defect when it doesnt'. maybe that's just a translation goof. i wouldn't expect superior auto to be 100% perfect and there are always small things that can affect a photo's quality no matter the camera. i can't wait to get it into my hands and play with it!

i like the dock but i don't like the dock. had it for my z1 and while i enjoy it, was a pain if you end up needing to use your phone a lot. i suppose it's only good for bed time and you use your phone as an alarm (i don't).
also, good point in the comments of the xperiablog post. there's no mention of how many units were sold, so potentially, it could be not so impressive if it were only say.. 500 units

dacha - what does your order status say?
i emailed clove sales to see if that is their default status for items that aren't in stock yet, since they aren't supposed to get it until Oct. 6. or if there is an actual backorder and there will be a delay. so should get a response sometime tomorrow.
those BTEKT videos are generally very pro-iphone. (i know i just posted one). the recombu vid is nice. xz sounds great.

Same here but I'm thinking it's because it's not currently available.
I've preordered plenty from Clove and what has me stumped is that I don't recall that before. But like I said possibly it's just because it's not readily available.
This sample size of 2 makes me feel better about my theory. Since yours said the same thing. Lol |

yea.. like i said, i emailed sales just to get a clarification, but i think that is probably the case.
we should be good. did you DHL your order? there were two choices, same price for shipping. DHL was only 3 days vs the other which was 5-8. So, hopefully that means it will arrive at my door somewhere between the 9th or the 15th, depending how long it takes them to actually ship and how long customs keeps it held up.
