no, 2k is 2560x1600. FHD is 1k.
FHD enough. Less load GPU. |

Agree with avoiding the hybrid, even if there was a dedicated video card on board, heat will be the next issue. I had to limit my notebook's i5 clock speed to avoid excessive heat when gaming because the dedicated gpu heats up too. Fan becomes a blower

I agree though, 2K or whatever it is is just a waste of GPU resource, Android's HD games still isn't on the level of the PSVita's. A useless innovation if it could be called as such
improve image quality by improving the display tech, not by shrinking as much pixels as you can and calling it an innovation

Well then lets leave the Windows to VAIO and Android/Chrome OS to Xperia Tablet branding.
By the way, have u seen what we're having a feast on Z1's thread? Sony is set to unveil an update for more manual controls in camera with shutter- and aperture-priority controls. |

Yeah, I'm hoping when the rumored Z1-s is released by next year, the camera firmware will already have the revised version on launch day.

I hope, Xperia Z2 has Xenon flash and small bezel with Xperia Z3, max screen size 5.2 inch, Pen, Max resolution 4K .

I say, Xperia Z2's camera pixel is 34.5 milion, and next year flagship 60-100 milion piqsel

seriously though, if Quantum processor make it to ARM chips one day, then we'll say goodbye to desktops and laptops for everyday computing

I think that sony don't seem to agree with you. i have no doubt of Z2 at MWC. i would be surprised of they won't show it then or by then. i think that they are at least as of now not comfortable with releasing a 5" flagship every year, like samsung. maybe because they are not focusing more in the US market so they have to make a BUZZ sooner then every annual year, like every half a year so by that they are on the news more. do i make sense? Z1 Ultra, not a lot will buy it if they keep going for the same dimensions... so i say Z1 Ultra at CES only if they go for smaller dimensions.

@razec Doubt desktop and laptop will ever go away. Maybe they will be less popular. Whenever there's an increase of power, you will always need a larger container for various reason such as larger size, cooling, and so forth. There will always be a market for higher specs. |

Of course they won't, that's why I said everyday computing  the average consumers won't "play Crysis" or run AutoCAD or mathlab on their computers anyway so the processing capability of a wearable device powered by quantum processing would be sufficient enough IMHO
