Are using macro mode? Perhaps the subject is too small or the environment is too dark so it keeps focusing on the background? That's all I can think of, or your unit is faulty.

Absolutely gobsmackingly beautiful pics.The moth photo on the glass is my fave.

Thanks mate, it's my favourite too. Was surprised to see the quality of the shot when I viewed it on the computer screen since full resolution view isn't supported on X10 for some disappointing reason. Hopefuly they'll change that with Eclair

Anyway, some shots over the weekend

@memo85
I've taken plenty indoor shots without focus problems. Maybe all you need is just some getting used to and practice

@Hobbes
I like the second photo. It was actually darker than it seems in the photo and X10 managed to capture it brighter with a wonderful balance of detail and noise suppression and capped it off with good saturation and colours. I mean, it's just a camera phone but I'm thoroughly impressed with its low light/evening shot ability I love everything about it, even the image stabilizer feature which is useful with faster shutter speed and maximised noise suppression. Not really great to view at full crop but it doesn't produce the classic watercolour effect. I'm lovin' it
