But that's for the other phone, not the 8.0MP monster.
I don't get it...
Anyway a few of the Japanese phones have had their price fallen a lot... such as the 8.0 MP CCD SH-01A for NTTDoCoMo, P-01A for NTTDoCoMo (which is the cheapest of the prime series right now), and 8.0 MP CCD 930SH for Softbank (the Chinese version SH1810C shown above). |

I'm working on a review? I know I am for the G705 but not any Japanese phone at the moment... did I mention anything earlier?
Now I feel bad it's like I'm delivering false promises... >__> |

Successor of the 930SH: 932SH
- Flip phone form factor
- Better CCD Sensor (rumored to be 10 MP)
Successor of the 921P: 930P
This phone was supposed to be released in the winter for the winter collection, but it was delayed for some unknown reason.
- 2-Way Flip
- Better Camera
- Reverse Hinge
- Touchscreen?

Japanese Phone Sales
- N-02A from NTT DoCoMo
The N-02A is the successor of the previous N906iμ. "μ", in terms of measurement units meaning micro, represented the models which were generally thin, targeting the female audience. The "μ" series phones are now DoCoMo's new STYLE SERIES. The N-02A It's only 12.9mm which is quite thin in Japanese standards and packs a decent set of features including a 5.2MP AF Camera, Chinese input/output, colourful keypad, etc. This phone is also featured in our Keitai Corner thread (first post). =)
I personally tried this phone at a local store in Vancouver and while I think the size of the phone is pretty comfortable, the keypad, on the other hand, wasn't as nice. You'd expect the keys to bounce back at you but they don't... the feeling of the keypad is only slightly better than the W585 (SE).
- F-01A from NTT DoCoMo
The F-01A has been placed second overall in Japan. This phone is a waterproof, touchscreen mobile, with a 5.2 MP AF Camera, Fingerprint Scanner, etc.
Haven't got a chance to try this phone quite yet... but it sure looks great (in person and on computer).
- SH-03A from NTT DoCoMo
SH-03A has been placed third in overall sales in Japan, following the footsteps of its older brother SH906i, which was also placed third overall. The Japanese prefer this model over the SH-01A (the TV model with the turning CYLOID AQUOS screen). It also packs a huge load of features like a 8.0 MP AF CCD Camera, Touchscreen, Fingerprint Scanner, Touch Cruiser, etc.
I haven't handled the SH-03A, but instead the SH-01A, which has the exact same keypad. It's decent... not great. I believe the keys should've been a little bigger as there is a lot of wasted space on the phone. The camera module in the back is huge...

I just got a bit of information from a very reliable source:
Apart from the premium Walkman SOY001 with W-open hinge, there's one more under development, but might not be announced at the same time:
A 17.5mm thin 8MP AF Cyber-shot slider phone with LED flash, microSD card slot and a 3.3" fWVGA OLED screen which might be revised last minute. It will be announced for the Spring line up.
Also, a bit of info on the next Casio for the empty Casio section:
Ca001 for AU KDDI
Casio's first touch screen phone. It has a 3.1" WVGA screen, 5MP CMOS camera, a swivel IPS display, and it looks very much like SH03A for docomo, but more toyish.
Also, Sharp:
SH001 for AU KDDI
8MP CCD, 48x111x21.0mm in dimension, and a 3" fWVGA screen.
The final two are also for the Spring line-up.

my sister lives in japan. and after completing her contract with 904sh. she's planning to upgrade. and she's eyeing AQUOS FULLTOUCH 931SH. but to her dismay it was too expensive even on two-year contract. so she just settles with IPHONE 3G, and she's loving it... |

I actually don't like the 931SH. I mean it's amazing screen resolution, fine camera, and it's by SHARP but the user interface seems to be... not very good. It took a while for the phone to respond to everything and transitions were pretty rough (if you consider those transitions). |

are those final official indexes? so KDDI will employ new nomenclature as well as DoCoMo? I thought the premium Walkman and first class Cyber-shot will be W71S and W72S, respectively.
from my observations, sometimes it's better off not knowing. |

Here's another pic of the S001 I found:
Certainly has a C905 thing about it...

Looks like what the C905 should've been. |

Can't wait till see what they have for Docomo's summer lineup since Docomo is the only possible way to ever use a keitei besides Softbank. |
