As you can 'clearly' see it's a C902 with the Light function.

No flash menus are another thing altogether. Nothing to do with the camera flash light.

That's odd. It is the first time I have ever heard of the C902 having the torch function. I hope it pops up in the next firmware or something.
Those photos were terrible though. Do you think they may have been photoshopped?

Well, I considered that but really, I have no idea. Anything is possible. Anyway, before I saw the photos I didn't believe that guy aswell.
Btw. Check a preview mode of a C902 @ SE official site. There's the Light function in the menu. |

Yeah it is quite weird. I might ask around and see if any other C902 owners here have the light function. Maybe we can work out what region's firmware has it.
But I do still have a feeling it was photoshopped. It could have been a screen-shot taken from the SE website and photoshopped onto a real picture of the phone.

Guys Muhammad-Oli and MiHaU !!
me too saw prototype on SE site, and there"s PRESENT a Light Function
http://www.sonyericsson.com/c[....]ones/overview/c902?cc=gb&lc=en
option "Try it now", did you see that?
so here"s my photos from menu:
and as i talk earlier, i HAVEN"T Light Function!!
only as i talk earlier in Videocamera mode, sorry.
so what about a region firmware which include Light function, is anyone knows?
or using davinci flasher or something else...
btw, i"m from Ukraine region, and my granpa was from Poland.
but i doubt that in new firmware as 039 and future will be Light in Organizer, very doubt..

My alarm eventually packed up completely, so I used the SEUS and despite it telling me I had the latest software ("1206-3990 R3BA035 080521 SonyEricsson"), I updated anyway. Alarm worked this morning but will have to see how it goes.
Do I need to debrand the phone in order to get the 'latest' firmware update? (currently branded, three network, UK)
Re. the torch function - mine also doesn't have it and i follow Dark Knight's procedure when i need to use it as a light.
Possibly a bit out of tune with this thread, but is it possible that a Java application could control the light function on the phone? I.e. you could create a "torch" java app that turned the light on?

So, there"S was one famous programm on java - Nightvision
used xenon flash
http://obmen.c100.ru/files/6160/nv.jar
nice worked on K790,K800, K810 etc.
here"s we have LED flash so it can"T be work prorerly, looking for other java app, like analog to this.
but i thinks anyway to activate a Torch we need to open LED flash manually and move the top portion of the phone(cover).
for example in W902 we have LED flash without moving cover, because flash is opened always..
so that"S the trouble to creatre a right app. IMHO. |

@stickroy: Debranding will mean you will get updates quicker than branded firmware. In my opinion it isn't worth it if you experience no problems with your current firmware (after you reinstalled your current one).
@Dark Knight: I agree. The camera cover is probably what stopped Sony Ericsson from adding the function in the first place.
