A little bit off topic here, but i am trying to get the MMS setting from a network in Ireland at the moment and they don't have the K750 on their list yet. What would be the closest phone to get settings for?
Thanks

I think K700 is quite similar to K750 in its GPRS/MMS settings.

Hello all this is my first time here so I would like to say it is a pleasure to join esato and all the members around seeking and giving kind alike.
Now I became a SE K750i branded & locked to O2 R1L002 f/w proud owner rin or have I?
On my 2 K750i in less than 10 days I have to say I have began to wonder... I also fail to update to this elusive R1N035 firmware that apparently is out on SEUS UK for all O2 users or is it maybe the contract customers that are taking advantage of this Update whilst the pre-pay are left without a choice but to bite the bullet called R1L002, I wonder...
Nedless to say that from my perpective as a O2 pre-pay customer I fail to see any update available to from R1L to R1N and cant try the contract K750i update to see if it is updated or indeed left with the "already up to date" message.
My major quible with the previous K750i w/ same f/w was and remains true with this one and my wifes are the following:
1) Whilst having the bluetooth enabled and using the medial player listing to music if a file is sent from other k750i via BT the K750i crashes. no reboot for anything from a minute or more.
Upon recovery of crash I think the phone reboots and the external memory ceasses to be available via phone (I dont have the cable connected to USB at any time except for attenpt update f/w) the memory card will only be accessible again if rebooted again manually or if batt is removed/reinserted.
2)Unable to copy contacts to SIM (tried 3 sims all O2) b4 crash or after
3)f/w issue that causes the reboot on the K750i after the issue described in 1)
Apparently stable B4 initial cause of crash.
4)poor camera quality in some angles under indoor lights conditions.
5)Looses playlist added contents but keeps playlist?
6)Looses shortcut created on by moving the Joystick
right
7)Unable to reach the games folder via PC (is this intentional? I think so but I disagree)
in favour of O2 the branding is kept to a minimum so I wonder whats up?
All I can say is for now the K750i is dooomed to the R1L002...
Ever the hopefull I remain another user trying to find out a diferent kind of message on my very regular visit to SEUS UK.

Hye,
Have you tried to get in just using the memory card in a memory card reader ?

I have an O2 contract K750i in the UK with EU_1/ Europe_2 and i cannoy update. it continues to say that i have the latest software. i am assuming that the new firmware is not yet available for O2 as others with simfree phones seem to have updated successfully.
i guess we will just have to wait a few more days.
Can any one let us know when they have successfully updated to R1N032 on O2. |

@vassago
Go on the SE website under support then product support then phone setup and you'll be able to send the settings directly to your phone

I have but the games folder is on the phone not on the memory card...
as to the comment about the R1N032 just leads me to believe this is even more elusive than the R1N035 I keep seeing names for hipothetical f/w rev but I still cant get any different to R1L...
spanner mobile on contract is a clear indicative of a failed hipotesis.

It was O2 who had the problems with GPRS on R1J so I am glad they are perhaps being cautious.
I'm O2 contract, R1L, cannot update but would leave it a week anyway as 1) my phone works, 2) R1J was a disaster 3) where is the panic? |

The panic is on the ever growing list of bugs I found on R1L002 on my phone.... Second phone to me and 3 phones counting my wifes too...
In panic I am not but I get increasingly more pived off

How did you manage it? Is there anything im not doing? cause ive trired twice and both times it has said i have the latest software and oncei even went through with the update n i still have R1L.
is your fone EU_1 /Europe_2? this is gettin so long, but i want R1N so badly lol
ps does it make a difference if you have the PC suite installed...cause i cannot install it ..at end of install it errors and rolls back. tried on 2 pcs :S

Spanner, Is your phone O2 branded ? My phone although on an O2 contract sim is not O2 branded that might be the difference as it seems from reading posts on here that O2 branded phones are not updating from R1L.
You have to have all the drivers and Pc suite installed but if your actually getting to the update java applet and it's going through the update process even if it does say eventually that you have the latest software it's unlikely to be a problem at the PC side.
I have a customisation of 102338/38 R8A on my phone BTW.

yeh it is o2 branded this is most prob why. i dont understand why it makes a difference. does anyone know when it should be available for o2 etc. i.e. will it be soon or is it an idea to go get the phone flashed so it is unbranded?
the reason im so eager to update is coz im frustrated with the shite video quality as i used to have a k750 before the summer with the very early firmware but stupidly dropped it in toilet and so had to purchase a new one now with the dammed R1L firmware!

O2 are preventing updates i think because of problems with the GPRS on previous firmware updates not being stable. Looks like they want to test it for a bit longer.
The WAP and GPRS seem fine on R1N so far though. The video quality does look a lot better on the new update.
