I turned that off actually. I also do think it depends who is behind the lens too as some people have no clue what they are doing. I will take better low light ones tomorrow with more light. I have done better night shots than this with my normal camera just need to play about a little. I turned EV right up put it on Night Scene but night portrait was the noisier one

Did the image stabilizer not work well for you ? I have used one with my mini (Camera360) with great success (less fuzzy pictures).
All Night portraits and scenes seem to do is just boosting the ISO, which results in noisier pictures. But I have failth in you Bonovox and your photo skills. Looking forward for more great night (and day) shots from you.

Thanks. Well I never thought digital stabilizers did much just optical ones. I have over 300 photos in photo section if you wanna see my skills. How does put so much power under such a thin device like the Arc??

I don't need more proof Bonovox. Have already seen your skills.
Regarding digital image stabilizers, yes they can be hit or miss, but since the phone has lot of sensors, a good implementation should be able to work well. At least in video recording mode it has been reported to work well. If you are not in a hurrey, using self timer may work OK as well.

@Bonovox: congrats for this new toy of you. It looks stunning and the photos are very good. We'll wait for a review very soon?
EDIT: I just traded currencies and 423 is a little more than the half of my salary. Holy Cow! See you next year, arc!

Well, the x8 is staying as my spare although I did sell the lovely white x10 due to dust under it's screen & I don't know I think it was still not what I expected the x10. The Arc has hit the sweet spot with me Have you not got an Android yet tranced??

Alright. I will jump to the android wagon don't know when.
Have you applied any protection to the phone? Or are you just testing how does it feel as stock?

I am a bit of a novice when it comes to taking photos let alone good ones, but I want to get the most out of the Arc's camera. Is there some kind of tutorial guide on this forum, or will some members on this forum will be happy enough to give away some of there secrets. Is it just a case of tinkering with the settings, or can you still get great images from using auto setting.
Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Well, screen protector that has come with the phone I left on. But there was no case like in Sweden boxes of the Arc. So will look around for a case. Do not want one that spoils it looks I never knew you never had an Android yet.

@Bonovox: yeah, get a case before it's too late. I had an android, G1, this year. I let it go as it was getting bored with no data, just wifi.
@dibdin: practice. You will get used to it.

I wonder if case-mate will do a case for the Arc.
I may just get a pouch instead. A few hours time I will be getting my Arc....I am excited especially with what I have read on this thread today.

I will get one going to look online. I have insured it too. @dibdin with photography it takes patience practice & also steady hands. Look at the light around you make sure the sun is behind you. Also never think it's a crap camera if they come out crap. I got good shots out of the x8 fixed focus lens @ 3.2 megs like this
